Some great pictures...

Everything from Saddam being dragged from his hole to harrowing pictures of the after effects of Katrina. There's a conspiracy theory behind almost all of the pictures on this link.

Have a look!

I will add here, if you have a problem with these regurgitating picture threads then fine, that's cool... but bug*er off and don't feel you have to tell us all about it.

S&F - Thanks for posting. There are quite a few photos I have never seen before. The most disturbing for me is the guy falling from the WTC
I have never seen such a close up and clear photo like that before. It's sad to think we are seeing the last moments of this mans life....

Here is more information on the picture. I'm surprised you never seen it. This picture has been shown on numerous sites before.

I have seen the youtube videos of people falling, and this man too. I have never seen such a clear close up before, that's what grabbed my attention.

Romantic_Rebel, thanks for the wiki link. Isn't a shame that they haven't been able to identify him?

Same here. I'm shock no one seem to be able to recognize him? Maybe he was single?

Ah cool. I think (I may be wrong as my filter has just turned on and can't watch it now) that this documentary is called 'The Falling Man' and is about the impact the picture had on people's lives. There was a fairly famous art installation inspired by the picture I believe.

This one reminds me of a World War 2 setting in Germany!! very unsettling... maybe its because its in black and white and has military uniforms in it.

It sure is:

Debris from the space shuttle Columbia streaks across the sky over Tyler, Texas, Feb. 1, 2003. Pieces of the shuttle were scattered over East Texas with some debris falling in downtown Nacogdoches, Texas. Columbia disintegrated 39 miles over Texas as it returned from a 16-day mission.

Check out the link in for all of 'em with details.

These are some beautiful pictures, many of them from events that have touched us personally. When I see pictures of civilians and the looks on their faces my heart sinks because for some of them their only curse was being born in such a turbulent climate.
