May I suggest that you check your information or update it. There are actual pics of the F-35 now. Also the pics of the F/A-22 you have is actually of the yf-22. One more thing, the F/A-22 can't carry the AIM-7. The F-14 is the last plane to carry it any more on a daily basis. AIM-120 is being fitted to F-16 and F/A-18.

Also the pic of the F-14 you have is quite old. You can tell from the tail art. The Navy does not allow colorful art like that any more.

A newer pic:

A few things to point out.

1. Your pic of the F-14 has it listed as a USAF fighter. Check your sources, the only AF to use that aircraft is the Iranian. Also your speed for it is way too high. Where did you get that info from? Also, she can carry the AIM-7 or AIM-120 or AIM-9.

2. The AIM-7 is carried by a host of aircraft to this day. Not sure where jetsetter got his info from. The preference for the AIM-120 should be obvious, however if you need reasons then U2U me and I will give them to you.

3. Some naval aircraft still have the gaudy paint schemes to this day. Those are usually the CAG or squadron commander birds. They usually have the 00 or 01 number on the side.

The USAF does not fly the F-14. Where are you getting that info from.

Here, go to www.navy.mil and look up the aircraft they use.

Then compare it to www.af.mil and see if the AF lists the F-14 as one of its aircraft.

What book did you get that info from. I know that it is wrong.

Why are these posts going to be deleted? I thought that the point of this thread was to get relaible info out?

BTW I was kind of surprised that you forgot to put the F-15C up there on your list.
