Let's see. Congress passed a law saying that anybody who needs emergency treatment cannot be refused because of their inability to pay or citizenship status.

That was in 1986 and it legal for anyone to do so if they find themselves in that scenario.

Welfare- Illegals can't get welfare. The ones who do are because they have American children and that is mainly food stamps for their American kids only.

Are you going to deny an American what an American is entitled to? Furthermore, these are federal and state guidelines that authorize that money. In other words all legal.

Social security and medicare do not go to illegals.

illegals have been known to falsify documentation

ie using stolen or made up social security numbers.( having a ssn is the gateway for other benefits)

using fake documents is well known

from a legal standpoint i see what your saying......

but from the illegal and fraud angle this is not entirely true.

The stolen identity issue is valid. There are probably some illegals who have tried it. However, the problem with stolen ids is not just an illegal immigrant issue.

There are many who are not illegals that use stolen or made up ids. A lot of identities are stolen online.

Nowadays, identity theft is more Internet-related, but that wasn’t always the case.

Lots of money to be made and criminal elements will take advantage of it.

No, but if your government invited them into your yard(jobs) and passed legislation where you can get money to help feed them (welfare) and then pass legislation so that they can have emergency treatment(hospital) if needed, why be so harsh on the puppies?

Furthermore, you can have those puppies trained if a Supreme court passes a decision(Plyler vs Doe) that they are entitled to free education.


Seems to me your problem should be with the government instead of the puppies.

Honestly, take the court decision I gave you, plus the emergency treatment, plus the welfare and jobs and ask yourself how many of these has Congress tried to fix since all this illegal immigrant stuff started?

Wasn't until after 9/11 that enforcement picked up.

About 50% of illegals come in with visas. What has the government done to take care of this problem?

You see it is the same old game. Blame the illegals and get tough on illegals while the economy is bad. Takes people mind off the real issue which is a lack of jobs.

You could deport them all today and by tomorrow you will have the next wave because the same laws that help illegals haven't been addressed.

It is an open invitation.

No, my problem is with
the people who dropped the puppies off
in my yard.

And the pregnant dog knows she is NOT

And when you call Animal Control .....
they never show up to collect

Amazes me how Americans want the problem fixed but keeping looking at the wrong end to get the problem solved.

I don't have a say so in what happens across town
but I DO have a say-so in what happens in my own
yard.

Now if the neighbor wants the dog and the puppies,
that's all fine and dandy. Just don't send me their bills
and keep the dogs away from my cats. Build a fence!!!

Threads like this is just another opportunity to rehash all the arguments that have been made in the previous immigration threads.

The problem is that no side is getting anywhere. I am taken for pro illegal but the simple fact of the matter is that I am not.

I just see no use for blaming illegals when I know the real problem lies with the government.

I don't believe we have to spend billions on border security to lock ourselves in when simple changes could be made to deter illegals from coming in the first place.

Take the welfare and my solution for that. I believe government should give no welfare out unless one parent is a legal citizen. This is basically what they did with earned income credit on the income tax but fail to do with welfare.

Jobs- Make every employer use e-verify database or similar database that will help prove if an employee has legal status to work.

The solutions are there but government is playing all sides against each other.

You are a very fortunate American who has never been in the position to live in poverty and in a country that is unlike the US and all its fredom and protection.

You should thank God for that.

Sure they came on their own free will but the fact remains that if businesses wouldn't hire them, they would have no need to come illegally. They come here for jobs.

Furthermore, you seem to miss the importance of how our government and as well as many Americans have turned a blind eye to the problem.

I can't help but wonder how many business you have sponsored knowing that they were probably hiring illegals.

12 million illegals didn't show up overnight and that within itself is proof that businesses are hiring them and Americans have tolerated them. Otherwise, why would Americans wait for 12 million and a bad economy to bring this issue up daily.

I guarantee you that if this economy was rocking this thread wouldn't even exist.

My house was re-possessed
I live in a camper with no working
toilet and no stove.

I have no medical insurance.
I have health issues that will not
get any better cuz I have no
money to pay a doctor and I don't
qualify for medicaid cuz I am not
totally disabled by their laws.

I own nothing cuz it has all been taken away
or stolen.

I can't find work because I'm either over-qualified
or either they want to hire an illegal who will work
for $3.00 an hr against the law under the table.
