A world in darkness

With such angelic voices as those that make up the Celtic Women organization. With there group and singular albums as well there concerts from around the globe filling our hearts with love, joy and the light of God. A light that shines so bright and a joy that goes with us it you would think that nothing could cloud or dim this light. But it takes only a short viewing time at the day’s news and the horrors we face everyday. God himself has sent such voices to lighten the world in its time of darkness, though I was only born in the 60s I have a great love for the classics, big band and the vocals of the 40s and 50s. There may have been a World War and a Great Depression, but both had meaning and lessons to teach us. It was a time of family, a time when marriage truly meant something and lasted through death, a time when the father took on a leadership role and the mother would be the glue that held it all together. But as time went by, and the family picture that we once knew became distorted so did all of society. Without the solid foundation of the family, there was no guidance, no discipline, no structure and the individual would become a part of there environment reaching out to any form of structure, such as music that would lead them astray or a government that would hand out everything a person would need, without earning it. Worse being influenced by gangs with there takes what you want attitudes, as they brake laws and totally disregard any part of society.
With Islam itself excepting honor killings as away of life and America being run into the ground by a fully corrupt government who want to enslave all I say we are facing our most dangerous times in history. We could either fail bringing upon us the end of days, or we can begin to recognize the threats around us and pouring if you will a new foundation with the principles and guidelines left us by our fore fathers, and rebuilding the only proven structure of the family. A family will never be anything more than one husband and one wife in a loving caring solid living within your means home. The Old Testament speaks of a time when a man did have more than one wife, but that time has long passed. Jesus in the New Testament has shown us a man and a woman become one and so is recognized by society as a union as well as God himself.
Marriage is not an institute that you can change to suit your own personal agendas, going against the laws of Moses and that of acceptable society. Marriage should never take place or be recognized by any society that is made up of any structure other than one man and one woman period. With the homosexuals and lesbian communities working so hard to be recognized as a union of one, will they stand up for other kinds of marriage structures as well? Such as multiply wives, or that of Shariah Law of what we would call pedophiles, were it is acceptable for a new teen or even younger to marry. Could not the pedophiles make the same claim as they were born this way and God makes no mistakes? And since they were born this way should it not be acceptable in normal society, after all ask any pedophiles and they would say they love them and in there mind are not causing any harm to the young one. So I ask were do we draw the line? If we allow the marriage union to become recognized in any other form other than one man and one woman, than we must accept all forms of that so called union be it of a 50 yr old man with a 9 yr old child, or one man with 10 wives or for practical since 4 wives as allowed by Shariah Law.

I ask that of all homosexuals and lesbians where you draw your line. And if you have a line why would you expect society to allow you to cross the ones already drawn? Because if you have a line drawn in the sand as they say, are you not yourself a hypocrite? Forcing your beliefs on others and making the world change its laws to better suit your personal wants. I have no problem if so you choose to live your life in this matter, but I do have a problem when you are not happy with just your acceptance in the world but want to make society recognize you as a union. You can show me not one holy book be it the Bible of any version, the Koran that states you are to be put to death, or even the scriptures dating back to the beginning of time that allows this kind of union to take place. And this is troubling to me since some have been married in a so called church, instead of by a justice or other recognized persons that perform this union. We as society must reject legal acceptance of your union for this very reason, because society has drawn its line. And if crossed by you think of what it could mean for others, especially the children if pedophiles follow in your example. Most companies recognize same sex partners and allow you the same benefits as those whom are married so that puts a crimp in your claim of wanting to be treated the same as others. This benefit is usually entitled significant other, this I know for a fact because I worked in the insurance business. Besides if you do manage to make it legal all over the world than you would be exposing yourself to such things as Divorce and who needs that hassle.
Society has to get back to the basics if we are to survive the darkness that has fallen upon our planet. Natures balance has been thrown off so far that even the very planet on which we live is fighting against us, storms with strength that has never before been recorded, heat waves, diseases running ramped if we do not wake up soon our own planet will simple become a place that no longer sustains life as we have come to know it. Our water supply will become undrinkable, the food chain will simple vanish as section become extinct not even Mother Nature herself can adapt that fast. We will simply put die off. And the only surviving living things left on the world will be the small organisms designed to live under any conditions. The only thing I am sure that will survive will be the insect world but on what kind of scale that I would not even jester a guess.
I hope I’ve given you some food for thought as it where; it is up to all of us to make sacrifices in order for the next generations to survive we have the power to change any thing and everything if we simple choose to do so. So what will it be? What will you choose? Life filled with light or death with the coming darkness? Only time will tell us what answer society has chosen, and time is the one luxury will have little of.

So you are worried about our planet and the survival of our species yet you blame homosexuals and lesbians because they want to get married? The text that you worship is over 1000 years old... times change.

I suggest you read The Year of Living Biblically by A.J. Jacobs and you will see just how silly and outdated the bible is when you compare it to today's society.

This is just an ignorant statement plain and simple. When two adults of the same sex have an intimate relationship and want to solidify it with marriage that is a relationship with full consent of both people.

When a pedophile goes after a kid there is no such consent.

Rubbish thinking like this is what makes be despise the bible and religion. Trying to relate everything that goes on around us and your process of thinking to an ancient text is just mind boggling.

That is the nice thing about the US is freedom of religion.
Book thumpin types can cry all they want about Homosexuals but they cannot stop them.
Religious fanaticism is why we have a separation of church and state.
I think the phrase in one of those books is "Judge not lest ye be..... you know".

anyhow- does anyone realize that these couples will be paying way less in taxes than they did last year as bachelors (i use the term loosely)? that affects us all. how are we going to afford war and spacw travel now? sheesh.

I do agree when it comes to how our family unites have been degraded over the years and our treatment of the plant.

Morning all and fist let me thank you all for your responses. I will do my best to help further the discussion, and let me say up front I am not a bible thumper lol and I do not need another person telling how to live, but on the other hand is that not what everyone does. Starting at birth first your parents, then teachers at school they educate us in the way they see fit, then our bosses as we enter the work place on how they want the job done. And if your lucky enough to serve as I was then you get taught all over again on how to dress make your bed and what not. So is it so wrong to want to live in a society of hope, love and charity compared to the one we currently have filled with hate and corruption.

One responded made a comment about following some sort of text, and then makes reference to another person’s book now let’s think about that for a minute. Do not refer to the old but look at the newer interesting but still referring to a person and not the spirit.


Yes I love America because we have freedom of speech and religion, but so many forget what America stands for and I will not go into that this morning. But I will clear up some facts since another mention separation of church and state. Fact that does not exist, the separation is from the federal government were it shall not impose a single religion on the people as king George did and why we left to find America to begin with. But how ever the states can and several in fact did exactly that. This countries intent was for a Christian base community, and to this day all though not enforced at any time a state by our law of Constitution can again impose a specific religion period. So let’s say the states congress has had enough they simple can vote to choose a specific religion and all others will be removed or must convert. Remember people the Constitution laws most like to refer to is a set of laws against the federal government not the local government and states of the union.

Call it karma or what ever you like, but the whole what goes around thing works for every one including our planet the more good put into the world the better everyone and everything including our planet is. You can throw out all books of religion as far as I am concerned, but the 10 basic laws for life accept by all and no further wording required should be the 10 commandments. There is nothing wrong with the Moses laws, and should not only be accepted by all, but respected by all and mostly expected to live by. For without law there would be kayos. Forget that they are written in a book of religion, simple they are good laws to live by are they not after all who could argue against, them except maybe the first commandment were they shall have no other god before me, but the rest not a single living being on the planet should have a problem with.

Remember this country was founded on biblical principles, and we should have never strayed from there basic teachings for it’s within these straying that have caused us to become a lesser leader in the world. America was and is one of a kind and should not be conforming to the rest of the world, just the opposite, we should be standing on our fore fathers principles, they were men of great integrity and not bending to none conformity because they call foul.

Bottom line is this America is my country and we live by a set of laws, don’t like them leave but stop trying to change our ways of life to fit your own. This is a Christian community or it was, and all none so called religions and there people whom do not wish to conform to our laws of the land should find another land who’s laws better suit there needs. You know the laws of any land are published, find a place that better suits your needs, you like to have open sex, and murder move to the middle east, you’re a wife beater mover to the middle east, you like socialism move to the UK and so on, but here in America our laws are the Constitution and the 10 Commandments period stop trying to change that and either live by them or get out you have freedom of choice. But if you chose to live in America as so many have from so many different cultures have in the past to set up a better life, all those whom have come before you came to be a part of this once great nation to assimilate into this society. Not change it, as those whom have came here lately wish to do. Even if you where born in America, at age of consent you think the grass are greener else where than go, but because you feel you born one way or another does that mean society has to change because of you? I think not. Even in the animal kingdom sometimes something goes wrong and what happens the odd one out leaves to survive elsewhere or dyes. The only open society for same sex that I am aware of is Europe there maybe others but my point remains there is a place for you that will accept you for whom you are.

Know one forces any one to stay in America, but our laws should not be changed to fit the minority or changed to weaken our principles and this is exactly what has been happening for way to long, we do not need you here, look at how many risk life an limb to get here so if you leave for greener pastures it will not hurt us for another is already waiting to take your place. God Bless America in God we trust I pledge allegiance to the flag one nation under God don’t tread on me. These are just a few of our motto’s don’t like them leave but don’t ever expect me to change the guidelines of the founding fathers for that will never happen. To much blood has been spent for these principles and if need be more blood will be paid to keep them.
