THE German Parliament has adopted a new law making it possible for the military to shoot down a civilian aircraft if it believes the plane is being
used in a terrorist attack.
The law will allow the defence minister, in the likelihood of a "particularly grave accident", to authorise the military to fire on a hijacked jet,
like those used in the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States.
