Anger mounts over Michelle Obama's 5-day Spanish holiday

Well I believe we should be worrying about other things than Michelle spending money lavishly on a trip, wat about the animals that are being abused, or the crimes that are bein committed or the terror threats.... I believe people should mind their buisness about what others do, if she wants to spend money to have a good time let her, so what..& do u really know whether this is coming out of tax payers money like really?!...I've seen michelle do good deeds & I know she does care about others...Marie Antoinette didn't care about anyone else but her self and she spent money on expensive stuff everyday if u knew ur global history...I don't know about this world anymore, everyday we jus seem to be crumbling b4 our eyes....

i was just thinking the same thing.
I haven't had a vacation in 5 years.
My parents haven't either.

It seems every other week they are on vacation
somewhere. The Biltmore in NC not too long ago.
Then there was another one in Maine last month.
And now Spain !!!!!
I guess living in the WH getting your nails done
every day and foot massages 3 times a week
can get real stressful. Meanwhile millions of Americans
are jobless, hungry and homeless.

She zipped thru the Gulf for a few hours, told other people to come there and spend some money, then when it was her family time for a lavish vacation ...

Our family has not had a vacation in 4 years due to finances. Must be nice...

She may have went down there, but the planes engines hadn't even cooled off before she got back on the plane. They went on "vacation" last week and shut down half of a resort town. Spain this week, wonder what the schedule looks like next week.

Yep. My husband was there for two weeks helping out and moving his aunt. How long was Mrs. Obama there? And what exactly did she do to help out the people?

The Obamas are ALWAYS on vacation. They are always going somewhere. Yes I'm jealous and angry. I'd like to have a nice vacation too.

Because that is what it boils down to.

The Obama's weren't poor when they got to the white house.

She is not an elected official, she is essentially a housewife.

How much does the Pres earn?

Save taxpayer dollars for taxpayers, not fat cats.

All politicians should take heed.

Taxpayer dollars are for schools, hospitals, roads, welfare etc - not for already rich people to squander.

A closer eye needs to be kept on the spending of public servants. They would not like to hear themselves described as servants, but that is what they are.

They hate on liberals for advocating "MARXISM IN DISGUISE" and for being "COMMUNISTS" and "TRAITORS" and then, the second they see someone spending money they rightfully have(isn't that the whole point of resisting socialism, that you're supposed to "earn" what you get or whatever? That's the "American Way," right?), suddenly it's all about how many poor people could be fed with that (private) money or how many people could use that money! What, is it only "spreading the wealth around" if it's spreading the wealth to poor people who aren't you?

You know a year ago things like this would piss me off inmensly, the whole hypocracy thing. But now I just laugh, the only sane reaction to posts like those I can think of. (Those above you)

It is absolutly incredible to withness.
It is like seing a whale with your own two eyes. You hear about it and alot of people seen it. But witnessing it youself is just awesome.

People don't seem to care about people, just about what the think is right. No wonder the world is in the shape it is. Instead of actually solving problems people are just maken more to spite the otherside. This isn't just a richtwing trade, the left is as guilty of it as the right is.
