Remember all the grief that Hillary got for "sticking her nose" into governing business when Clinton was president. There were good reasons for that concern, and the same reasons apply today. Like Hillary, Michelle is a competent individual who won't say things unintentionally. But these are undocumented meetings -- no records need to be kept because no government official is involved. (Michelle is just a private citizen, someone's wife, meeting all these people.) What sort of undocumented meetings does our government have to have, with people who maybe cannot come to the USA?

It could also be financed by part of that backroom deal with PhRma/ the insurance companies at our expense (or other corporate "benefactors"). One way or another, we pay (& regardless of the party affiliation of the recipient)

We all have a means to mobilize ourselves to the polls this November if we choose to exercise that right. I pray that we do!

If the First lady had taken 40 of her closest friends to Disney in Florida, promting Gulf Tourism, family and the like, turned into an American celebration, or a statement that we will not be deturred from the Sunshine State, none of this would be coming into play. It is the extravagance of the trip and the message it sends that has people angry.

I have nothing against the Obama's enjoying vacations, it is strictly in the manner in which this one took place, the fact that is is out of the country during the worst economy in 5 generations is the problem.

This type of news normally fizzles but the elaborateness and expense was played up for a reason. It is so blatant and surreal that we were meant to pay attention. That "Church" was an incubator for his political backing by blacks. Blacks needed to think that he lived the same American experience and so he was there snoozing in the pews for a couple years. He did his campaigning as a "community organizer" and his false front was built. Did he actually "change" anything for the people in Chicago? I think not but he got them behind him and that was the plan. Barry's masterful at rolling up his shirt sleeves. Puts "W" to shame.
