Except it's um.. not unidentified.

That seems like a -lot- of heat though, to try and power a craft. I can't even imagine how hot it would be to generate enough power to fly through space.

its a good thing space is really cold then huh

That technology is so primitive, I think this is a good way to hide the real UFO crafts from people. So people would be like, hey its not a UFO.

Old news.

Saw this demonstrated over ten years ago. Not very practical... only works straight up in an atmosphere within range of the hugely powerful ground based laser on an extremely light, specially shaped, highly polished "craft" incapable of bearing any additional payload.

Definitely old news agreed. I remember watching this on PBS over 10 years ago.
