THE French government is bracing for an increase of so-called "grey crimes" as more senior citizens are swapping their gardening gloves and bridge hands for guns and knives.

The French Centre for Strategic Analysis said the criminal system would need to be overhauled to handle the growth in crime by the over-60s, according to an official report leaked today..

Police may require specific training on how to track “grey crime”, and jails would have to be modified to cater for inmates with Alzheimer’s disease and other illnesses, according to French specialists.

You know when the elderly are being left to fend for themselves with a pittance in the form of welfare/pension this was going to be a sign of things to come - sadly.

You'll know society has hit rock bottom when we see video footage on the boob-tube of a little old spinster with a purple rinse, hobbling out of a bank with a walking frame, clutching a big bag of stolen money.

Last seen zipping down main street at 5 miles an hour in an electric gopher cart.

I thought I had more than just human abduction to worry about, they're after my flat screen an xbox too!

This is kind of like when Harry met Sally the Golden Years.

Truly sad.. But brought upon yourselves.. Instead of showing respect and compassion for the elderly (or even the disabled , weak and children) you abandon them or shove them in homes to die.. They worked and sacrificed for their children to have better than they did and in the end get forgotten.. Instead of finding a compassionate and respectful solution your western solution is to build more prisons.. Disgusting..

This is likely the MSM sowing more fear.

They are referring to all crimes such as drugs, such as
shoplifting, etc etc.

If was going to worry about a group it would the gangs the have the
highest death rate in the inner cities.

Look at the actual police crime stats, not some mind screw job
by the MSM.

The gangs have the violent crime racket by majority.

Since when did people with mental illnesses (especially old people) become candidates for jail time? From the article -

"Police may require specific training on how to track “grey crime”, and jails would have to be modified to cater for inmates with Alzheimer’s disease and other illnesses, according to French specialists."

Seems some of the grey generation has had good to take the law into their own hands as the economy and their pensions have tanked

German pensioners ‘kidnap and torture their investment adviser’

A group of well-to-do pensioners who lost their savings in the credit crunch staged an arthritic revenge attack and held their terrified financial adviser to ransom, prosecutors said yesterday.

The alleged kidnapping is the latest example of what is being dubbed “silver crime” — the violent backlash of pensioners who feel cheated by the world.

“As I was letting myself into my front door I was assaulted from behind and hit hard,” the financial adviser James Amburn, a 56-year-old German-American, said. “Then they bound me with masking tape until I looked like a mummy. I thought I was a dead man.”

He was freed by 40 heavily armed policemen from the counter-terrorist unit last Saturday. The frightened consultant was in his underwear, his body lacerated by wounds allegedly inflicted by angry pensioners...

Ayn Rand had the best quote regarding this.

"There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws."

I do not agree with everything she said, but a lot of what she said
rang with a clarion call of truth, and this was one of them.
