Their feelings were considered. There was a vote. The people with the power and desire to decide the fate of this building voted and allowed it to go through. Why do so many other people feel the need to be offended for them? Because Hannity said to?

The muslim terrorists who hijacked those planes never set off car bombs in Ireland. The same terrorists never lynched jews, homosexuals and black people for the simple fact that they existed.

Of course I don't blame them. Of course I can empathize and "take it into consideration." That goes without saying.

But since you bring it up, tell me...are they going to allow the hate and hard feelings and sad feelings to fester forever? Perpetuate because of this? Restrict the rights of others because of this? Make even more people "feel" bad because of this?

And to clarify, I assumed Stormdancer was referring to those who felt conquered i.e. Native Americans. I may have misremembered. I don't know how we can fix that.
