Third eye - a theory and stories from Falun Gong practitioners..

I want to discuss a little bit about the third eye(pineal gland functioning as an eye at the center of the brain) here.

In Falun Dafa one learns the theory about the third eye and most of the practitioners have at least a little bit of third eye capacity. I can show you some practitioners stories later.

Third eye capacity means one can see diseases inside your body, see through walls, see demons, ghosts and other dimensions and even predit the future and see one´s own history. The higher the level you have the more you can see, that´s the theory. The fewer worldly attachments and notions the higher level you can reach and the more things you can see. At a low level it seems like one mostly sees demons and ghosts..

For people who have high inborn quality(lots of virtue with them from birth, compare with the Panchen Lama being sought all over Tibet at 4 years of age) and make few evil or bad acts while growing up they can keep their supernormal abilities. Most people loose them in modern society due to the current climate of ego-drive, materialism, porn, drugs,alcohol etc etc. As soon as people indulge in bad behaviors and form worldly attachments and bad notions they are bound to loose their supernormal abilities.

Hence small kids and old people with few attachments to this world have stronger abilities.

One can gain back the abilities but you must suffer and gain back the lost virtue to get the ability back. In meditation you have the best chance of seeing other dimensions I believe.


Some brief words on this subject, all feedback is welcome.

Here is a story from a practitioner telling us how she has seen a western paradise and the current situation with their kings being lost in the maze down here.

A Journey to a Western Heavenly Paradise

Told by a practitioner in Jinan, Shandong Province, and compiled by a fellow practitioner

(Clearwisdom.net) One afternoon not long ago when I was home, I suddenly felt that I had entered a Western paradise. I am not familiar with Western culture at all. I have only learned a little about Western culture from movies. I will try my best to recall what I saw.

I saw two little angels who had come to guide me to their paradise. I can still see their golden, curly locks and blue eyes. They were plump, had a pair of wings on their back, and a halo over their head. They looked indescribably innocent and adorable as they grinned and hovered over my head. When I tried to touch them, they withdrew and flew away.

Guided by the two little angels, I entered their paradise. On the way there, I saw many male and female angels in white robes. They smiled at me and elegantly bowed. I gave a heshi gesture in return. There were strange and magical flowers and plants on both sides of the road. I saw unknown mystical creatures nearby. In the distance a river radiated colorful light. From time to time, I would come across white stone tables and stools on the wayside. On the tops of the stone tables were plates of fruit and urns. When the angels consumed the fruit and drink, the plates and urns would refill themselves. The entire world looked like a large garden, and each flower and plant was delicate and radiant. Although the heavenly paradise seemed nice and beautiful, I felt something was missing.

Finally, I reached the foot of a short mountain. It was a white mountain, but not exactly the same type of white as in the human world. The entire mountain was radiating light. I didn't realize at the time that the two little angels had already left. There were three buildings on top of the mountain, a large one flanked by two smaller ones, yet each building was uniquely designed. When I reached the mountaintop, I heard sound coming from the building on the right. I walked over and saw a crescent-shape table inside. There were many angels standing and sitting inside. The two angels standing across from the entrance were also wearing white robes, except theirs had many embellishments. Next, I walked to the large building in the middle. It was a very tall, grand building. There was a row of approximately 20 giant columns symmetrically arranged on each side in front of the building. Behind the columns was a passage parallel to the columns. I entered the door and saw a large chair with a tall back facing the entrance. It was flanked by smaller chairs. There were murals and colorful decorations on the walls. They were very beautiful. I couldn't tell whether they were paintings or carvings on the walls.

It was then that I heard someone greeting me. I turned around and saw an angel smiling at me. He must have been one of the two angels from the building on the right. We greeted each other. I had a feeling that he didn't know me, but he wasn't surprised by my appearance. He said politely, "Our world welcomes your arrival." I explained to him that I practiced Falun Gong in the human realm and had no idea how I came to be here. He gave me a knowing smile. I took a closer look at him and noticed that he was taller than the other angels and had a brighter halo and a larger pair of wings. His body was translucent, similar to white jade. He emitted a gentle light. He was wearing a white robe and gold accessories around his neck and waist. In one hand he held a short gold staff with carvings.

As he took me down the mountain the same way I came up, he showed me his world. I remember that he told me their king was King Morse or something that sounds like that. He also told me his name, but it is too difficult for me to remember now. He said their world had existed for a very long time. Six powerful angels, including himself, as well as other angels, accompanied their king. In their world there were many other heavenly paradises that lived in harmony with one another. Kings and angels from other heavenly paradises would often visit his world. The king of each world possessed a different type of divine power. King Morse was capable of generating the most sacred flowers in this world through his prayer. I think this might have been the manifestation of King Morse's enlightenment on the Fa of the universe. The angel remembered that his world was eternally beautiful and joyous, but one day the most sacred flowers stopped blossoming and sacred manifestations disappeared. Similar situations befell other heavenly paradises as well. After that, their king and other kings were no longer happy. When the angels asked about the changes in their paradise, King Morse explained it was because the world had lost its eternal stability.

From then on, King Morse often prayed alone, until one day he summoned all the angels and told them the news from his father. His father told him the heavenly paradises at higher levels had also lost their eternal stability and that the Great Creator of All would go down to the human world to re-stabilize all the worlds. King Morse said his father would follow the Great Creator of All to the world below to beg Him to re-stabilize his world. Many kings in King Morse's world had received similar hints to speak with the Creator. The kings gathered and discussed what to do. Finally they decided to select a group of messengers to go down and beg the Great Creator of All for a way to re-stabilize the worlds. King Morse was selected as one of the messengers.

When King Morse was leaving, all the angels in his heavenly paradise were in tears, kneeling and begging to follow him. King Morse warned them, "You must never follow me, for you are bound to be lost once you go down there. The Great Creator of All will surely re-stabilize our world and bring me back. You shall wait for me here." Next, King Morse and other selected kings came down to earth. Since then, the angels have missed their king, and all they can do is to pray and long for his return.

The angel told me the whereabouts of his king and other kings he knew. King Morse and another king initially went down to Russia, but now they are in Holland and Denmark respectively. He took me to the entrance of their heavenly paradise. It was a towering white gate reaching toward the sky. It was a very different gate from those in China. Standing there, I looked back at their world. A strange feeling registered in my mind again, although I couldn't quite put it into words. The angel seemed to have read my mind. He said, "You felt joy was missing from our world. Since our king left, no flower or plant here has ever been happy again." Then I read his thoughts, too: "I beg the Great Creator of All to have mercy on our king. Please make sure that he is not lost in the human world and bring him back." I felt the longing sadness and pain in his thoughts. I told him, "My Teacher is spreading the Law of the Universe in the human realm while saving the entire universe. My Teacher has compassion for all sentient beings and shall save all sentient beings, including your king. Besides, Falun Gong has spread to many places in the human world, including Russia, Holland, and Denmark. Do not worry and wait for his return."

I bid him farewell and left his world. As I was walking back, I recalled the Fa Teacher has imparted. Then a ray of light shot from the sky above my head. I looked up and saw the sky split open, revealing the heavenly paradises above. There were heavenly paradises at higher and higher levels, each bigger, more translucent, and brighter than the previous one. I saw the nearest paradise most clearly. I also saw several divine beings. (Their forms and clothing were very different from the angels I had met. I don't know how to describe them except to call them divine beings.) They were looking down at the human world. I saw expectation in their faces and longing in their eyes. I guess they must have been longing for the return of their kings or lords as well. Then the ray of light was retrieved and seared the sky. It was then that I returned to reality.

We are Falun Gong practitioners in the Fa-rectification period, shouldering a grand historical mission. There are huge groups of lives from heavenly bodies far away that have bestowed infinite hopes in us and are expecting our return. Is there any excuse for us not to do the three things well? Whether Falun Gong practitioners cultivate well or not will determine the salvation of those lives, the infinite number of sentient beings!

We have already learned that many people on earth are very important lords, kings, and divine beings of large heavenly bodies. They represent large groups of lives. However, some people have lost their true nature and are lost in the human world. We may all have asked Teacher repeatedly to wake us up if we should become lost in the secular world. As Falun Gong practitioners in the Fa-rectification period, we must not be content with studying the Fa and practicing Falun Gong exercises at home. Of course, we interact with the Fa directly by doing so, but we must also step forward to clarify the truth about Falun Gong. We must reach every area on earth where human beings reside in order to save those kings and lords that represent gigantic heavenly bodies!

Yes FG is still outlawed in PRC and 100 000 practitioners have been imprisoned and more than 3000 have been killed, most of them are tortured on a daily basis! Oppose this persecution by all means!

This is a terrible crime to persecute these kind people who want to improve themselves and find peace and happiness.

Expect retribution for these evil deeds according to the prophecies. I truly believe a good person who opposes this persecution and thinks Falun Gong and its principles of Truth-Compassion-Forbearance is a good thing will get lucky.

Everyone should ask themselves: Why do the CCP persecute only Falun Gong practitioners and notother QiGong practitioners? One answer is that the President Jiang Zemin became so jealous of Falun Gong´s stellar rise in the 90s, he wanted to be the popular king of China but all people(100 million people started FG, it became bigger than the CCP in 6 years) were only interested in learning Falun Gong.

Another answer is that you become exceptionally powerful when you practice Falun Gong. The real reason is that being good and virtuous generates enormous power when you do self-cultivation in Falun Gong.

The CCP is therefore terrified of Falun Gong. If the CCP people start to practice Falun Gong the top leaders can not uphold the bribes, corruption and violence culture in China anymore. I wait for the day when there will be 10 million people in Beijing ending the CCP reign forever.

I have practiced Falun Gong since 2005 and I have experienced many supernormal states that modern science cannot explain.

My third eye opened when I started the practice and I have seen things in other dimensions. Some other abilities of mine also surfaced, but I will not talk about them because it is hard for other people to understand. None of my friends or family know anything about my abilities, they only know that I practice Falun Gong and follow Truth-Benevolence-Forbearence and do the 5 exercises. All I can tell you is that Falun Dafa is a high level practice from the Buddha School, and the inner meanings in this practice are huge. I have experienced everything that is spoken about in the Falun Gong book, and if you start to practice, you will too.

Dont know if this is relevant but I always have the sensation that I am at or am the center of the universe. No matter where I go, how close to the ground I lay, or if I jump high into the sky, I'm always at the center. Is this evidence of 3rd eye? Maybe I'm just egotistical

Thank you for your great answer! May I ask why you do not tell anyone about your third eye or anything about your abilities? Do you not think you could recruit more practitioners if you carefully explain the theory and then explain a little about third eye etc? Granted that you do not boast about your abilities and create an attachment to showing off...

I have a six year old son who got to know about FG and the principles of Truth, Compassion and Forbearance in 2009. Immediately he was very attracted to Master Li Hongzhi and FG principles and changed his whole personality for the better, being compassionate and kind to other kids, including naughty ones and weak ones.

Without practicing exercises and in a few months he developed powerful abilities that normal people can not believe in, not one ability but many, many abilities that can make normal people very shocked. Now he knows to control himself mostly. Since he is a western kid it is very unusual I believe. For Chinese kids I believe their level is much higher.

For me it is different, I only have a little third eye and my Gong level is not very high yet. Also I must eliminate more karma in Lotus position, very tough indeed.

In fact Master Li Hongzhi has said that we are positoned at the exact center of the universe, between the microscopic and the macroscopic dimensions. This is the lowest dimension of all dimensions and therefore you can see nothing with your flesh eyes. Only by having a good inborn quality(ie lots of virtue) or cultivating up you will be able to see other dimensions during meditation.

The reason for me not telling others about my abilities is that it can harm Falun Gong´s image. It is very difficult for people to believe in supernormal abilities and most people become scared or don´t believe in what you say if you speak on a high level or speak about your supernormal abilities.

And also, it is not good if people come to learn Falun Gong just for the sake of supernormal abilities. If people want to learn Falun Gong, it should be because they want to be a better person and follow Truth-Compassion-Forbearence. Supernormal abilities is not central in Falun Gong and it should not be pursued, it´s simply a biproduct of ones practice. When you rise your level some more you will also realize this.

But when people start to practice Falun Gong and assimilate to Truth-Compassion-Forbearence and let go of their desires, they will naturally develop supernormal abilities. Your son is of course very young and have very good inborn quality, so it is easy for him to develop them.

But one should absolutely not start to practice Falun Gong with the pursuit of supernormal abilities. If one does this, one will not attain anything, because it is precisely those desires and attachments that one should let go of when cultivating in the Buddha school.

The above is only my personal understanding. To completely understand Falun Dafa, one should read the main book "Zhuan Falun".

I am sorry but my level is not very high yet, I am sure you are right about what you say, I believe this is all about balance.

I mean, anyway, after people read the book Zhuan Falun I believe it is alright to talk about supernormal abilities since it is included in the book? Only before they have not read the book one should not say anything? Is that your understanding too?

This balance is very delicate about where the good level is to talk with newcomers, you should to make people interested and yet not scare them away or making them pursue these abilities and in that case end up with nothing. Furhtermore, some people are very clever and openminded and you can tell them many things without danger, other people can not understand so in that case you absolutely must keep quiet.

This is only my superficial understanding at my wisdom level. Anyone interested should read the book Zhuan Falun.

Do you see "things" in your normal state? I mean, do you see spirits and other dimensions overlapping our world? Have you ever been able to communicate with the deceased? Please answer as this is very important to some of us. We would appreciate if you could describe to us your abilities and the specific exercises you practiced. How long have you been practicing it?

Remember, the book Zhuan Falun is the most important to study. Over and over again, one understands it differently each time one reads it and one will raise one´s level by studying it.

Nobody will achieve supernormal abilities if one has a pursuit of them.

A cultivator is not allowed to show off these abilities to everyday people, one will loose them immediately if one does that. The first step after beginning practicing is usually that your third eye opens and one will see some scenes from other dimensions. All of this is explained in the book.

Yes I see things in my normal state. And yes I see other dimensions, but it is is not overlapping our world in the way that you imagine. I only saw spirit and demons in the beginning of my practice, as I raised my level I never see those low level spirits anymore, I see high level beings and different paradises and so forth and so on. Why would I want to communicate with the deceased? Those deceased are also low level ghost waiting to reincarnate, they have nothing to do with me.

You pursuit for supernormal abilities is pretty huge, and me telling you these things is the same as satisfying and making your pursuit stronger. So I won´t talk about it anymore. If you want to learn to practice qigong and to be a better person, you can try practicing the Falun Dafa exercises.

Please don´t ask me specific questions about what I see or don´t see. I only answered in this thread to let more people know that Falun Dafa is good and that it is a true teaching. I am not here to validate myself or to prove anything to anybody. Thank you.

You're wrong when you say that my pursuit of supernatural abilities is strong I only ask because I am interested in the subject, not just this practice alone.

I asked about the deceased b/c I greatly miss my departed grandparents and have regrets. I wish I had another chance to see them and tell them how much they meant to me...

I practiced falun gong for a few years and it had 2 effects on me.

1. Abundant energy, good health, and tons of stamina to work 12 -13 hour days of physiclly grueling work.

2. It brought out tons of lust in me. It was like taking a hundred viagra pills then having to take care of that physically.

I had to stop because one of this things in my spiritual path that I always strive for is celibacy and to quel the passions. FG did not help in that at all ...only stirred the waters to the utmost when it came to lust.

Were these effects on your health caused by any particular exercise out of 5? perhaps you overdid one of them? spent too much time doing it? everything has to be in balance and moderation.

did you feel any particular effect on health? for example, if I am very nearsighted, would it help to improve my vision? what should I do to improve it?

also, are you supposed to do these exercises outside only? is it Ok to do it at home? I tried it a few times but felt no effect whatsoever.

The reason your lust came forth like that is, according to my own understanding, because there are beings in other dimensions that want to stop you from practicing in a righteous way, stopping you from attaining Buddhahood. In Falun Dafa, lust is something that one has to let go of or else one will not make progress. You should not give up so easily and you should read the book more. We all have those tribulations in the beginning of the practice, but as your level rises those things will be removed.

I also had those problems, but because I persisted, those things were gradually removed.

Falun Dafa is not for improving your health, it is not an ordinary qigong method. Although it will improve your health, the purpose of the practice is not to improve ones health. The purpose is to rise ones own level and ultimately, attain Buddhahood or attain the Dao. If you only wish to heal illnesses or improve your vision, you can try Taijiquan or use some other method.

If you only practice the exercises, you will not feel anything and you will not attain anything. The only way to really attain anything, is to combine reading the book Zhuan Falun and practicing the exercises. You have to change your thinking and assimilate to Truth-Compassion-Forbearence. Only in this manner will this practice give you anything.

Above is only my own understanding.
