Canadian aircraft intercept Russian bombers

This kind of thing happens all the time folks , the reason we are hearing about it this time is because right now Canada is in the middle of a political battle , minority government , to buy some new sexy stealth jets from the Americans and do to the lack of political will by some MP's they are hoping that this news can help the minority government get the needed votes to buy some needed new sexy hardware .

Lets not even get into the whole Sub issue , or lack there of

I agree 100%, its a way to test new toys (if they have any to test) and make a collect call to see if your awake?

Nothing more, unless of course some hotshot does something stupid by accident, but its just business as usual.

Just to give fair warning..

Canada will be, to whomever invades, what Afghanistan was to the Russians and now the US...

Russia will never get past our igloo defenses, nothing more high tech than an igloo with a cell phone, relax the north is covered. makes good sense to have these new fighters along with newer frigits etc...
