hi,
we are all atheists. so get over it, and get along. life too short to care who made us and why, and if there was a god do you really think he would want us to be ranting about how good he is, surely he would want us to enjoy the life we have.

if you belive in any god, you are disbeliving in all others. hense you are an atheist. why do you disbelive in other gods?

when you can explaine why you disbelive in all other gods or saviours then you will realsise why i dont belive in yours.

oh wait sorry you were taught that god is good in school. so was i. and i got a B in R.E. thats religous education. i went to a catholic school, which made me ask questions the teacher couldnt answer.

if you belive in any god these days, especially in england your are racist for not beliving in others,

we cant all be right.

but we can all be wrong,.......................

well not me because i'm an atheist all the way. for every god as we know it. although i do belive the human race do not belong on this planet. we are the cancer of it.

bit harsh mybe, but fair i think. we have done nothing but bad to this planet and what we call progress is just destruction of our world.

now its bed time, and another 90 hour week. just wished i was on a doctors salary.

god bless all

yeah right

Ok life is too short to wonder about where we came from, but not too short for you to put in 90hour work weeks?

That is totally absurd.

I'd rather put in 90 hours a week wondering about where I am from, rather than 90hours hard labor for some corporation only to get table scraps of the profits I generated for them.

We are all One.

Everyone believes they are the center of reality. Everyone experiences reality from this center point. Thus everyone believes they are the center of the Universe or Reality.

Everyone experiences the same center. We are all the center. Thus we are all the same consciousness. This is the Proof of Oneness.

Adonai Echod. God One(ness).

God only,only God.

Can a person not believe in religion and still not believe in atheism? I don't like being put in a box of any kind, not even a disbelieving box. Or a believing box. Or an on the fence box. Getting claustrophobic. Too many boxes.

I will say I have been going thru a couple of the threads of the past week, and everyone is fighting over religion. :shk: Even atheists are fighting over who is more atheist

I have thought about posting in a couple of those threads to point out the sillyness of the fights, but then someone is just going to try to save my soul again
I got that a lot when I first joined.

Who really knows how many gods are or aren't out there anyway. Heck, the more the merrier, maybe they'll get along. Their "people" sure can't.

Maybe there are other weird things we can't see that move our keys around and hide the remote.

You're right, life's too short. We'll find out one day when our time is up,
or not.

Yes.

You are Agnostic.

Agnosticism is the view that the truth value of certain claims—especially claims about the existence or non-existence of any deity, but also other religious and metaphysical claims—is unknown or unknowable

en.wikipedia.org...

I am also Agnostic.

I believe it is impossible to know either way, Atheist or Theist.

Atheists and Theists are faith based beliefs. They assume without actually knowing.

Being Atheistic is the only logical way to live life really.

We're open to discoveries and possibilities beyond our planet and even our universe. We're open to science. We're open to sanity.

What are religious fundamentalists open to? Besides opposing two individuals of the same sex loving each other....

...well, not much.

Care to read my post above?

Atheism = faith based belief system. Just like all Theisms.

An Agnostic admits they have no way to know either way.

Atheism is not a religion though. Yes Atheism is a belief but that doesn't mean it's a religion.

To me, IMO, being agnostic is the only completely honest way to approach the matter.
Sure I would like to know, but I don't and I can't. Maybe at death, maybe not even then.
Seriously, I realize many believe one way or the other, but who really knows??

It is my belief that the best approach to the matter is to allow others to believe whatever they wish. Whether one believes in God, ET or the flying spaghetti monster shouldn't make a difference to anyone else. My belief is exacly that; my belief! I don't push my beliefs on others or disrespect how others believe. We have enough focus on our differences. This world would be a much better place if we could all just focus on how we're alike.

No, atheism = lack of belief in deities. If someone is a theist, that's it, they cannot be atheist. Believing in one god and being against others in no way makes you atheist, this isn't up for debate.

Agnosticism isn't a "3rd choice". If you are agnostic, you can still be a theist or an atheist. You are correct that these are faith based assumptions, but they are compatible with agnosticism. As you know, agnosticism deals with knowledge. An agnostic believes that knowledge of the existence of god or gods is impossible to attain, however, this doesn't cover whether or not they believe there to be a god or not. If you're agnostic, you can be an agnostic theist, an agnostic atheist or an agnostic neutral. An agnostic neutral is what most people think an agnostic is, in that they have no preference whatsoever and are truly on the fence.

Um. No. A argument that commits a fallacy is NOT a logical argument. Atheism and theism both run afoul with argumentum ad ignorantiam and thus neither are logical.

Humans are just like Chickens.
We are all living biological animals. The only difference is that we have more powerful brains. THAT's THE TRUTH.

To me, there is no god no magic no ghosts no ETs NOTHING. We are just a fluke of this planet Earth that managed to create us.

Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus all other religions of the past and present and so many other systems of faith in a god or gods all have one thing in comment, they are a system of socialization and modernization of humanity.
They all teach us how to behave and basic ideas of THE LAW (not to kill one another) and teach us our basic history and legacy of our ancestors.

Now here is something interesting, take the old testament.
Lets replace GOD with LAW.
Angles with Judges
and Ten Commandments by a Constitution or other systems of law.
What do we have? the basic idea of the modern REPUBLIC. It's there hidden away. A system of law and self governance.

Evil inventions like Socialism come from IGNORANCE and lack of knowledge. Nazism, Communism have done nothing but harm human progress. If there is a real evil enemy call it "NWO" or what not, it would have to be a one Socialist government over all man. that would mean the end of Humanity and the Free use of our Minds that separates us Humans from Chickens in the first place.

Hehehe... kinda shortsighted description you've got there...
This concept you described works both ways. In fact in the above you classify theists as being insane?
Typical case of the eyes seeing what the mind is looking for...
Everybody has a free choice to do and believe whatever they want.

However, theists believe there is life after death, giving the hardworking theists a chance that this is true and granting them longevity.
what do atheists have? certain death... short-lived fun..

Whatever makes you happy right? so please dont call me insane for believing that this "house in the middle of the desert" (earth) is actually constructed by an intelligent life-form

What if I believe in all possible Gods? What then?

Please, OP. You sound like an angry teenager that's just read a certain quote and used it against a Christian or something. Let me see if I can locate it...ah, here it is:

"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours" - Stephen Roberts

The problem is that the quote only works on those that believe in just one God and none else. Doesn't work on people who believe anything's possible. You're only using it to convince yourself that you're better than everyone else just because you're an Atheist. The truth is, you're as bad as any devout Theist is.

Why don't you stop worrying about what other people believe, and forget about your bad time at Catholic school. It's not anyone's fault you were forced to attend (except maybe your parents, but then again, you're also angry at them too, aren't you?).

I guess that's a box I can sit on. It leaves open the possibility that anything or everything is possible. Including those little imps that keep hiding my keys.

I am not an atheist, I am a spiritualist. I don't argue over what made me, as I have already encountered what did. Other people will find out when they die (and realise the unity and similarities in religion).

Personally I find it very silly how wars are started over religion, and yet I am not an atheist. God only wants us to love.

I dont believe in a God persay, I believe in a creator. Instead of finding differences in religion, I see the MANY similarities, and I believe in them.

I don't see how the humans are the cancer of this planet. There may be alot of hate, but that only comes from judgement and greed. If no one judged others and no one was greedy, everyone would feel true unconditional love.

Obviously you are not living your life. Life isn't about living and making money.

Of all the deathbed regrets that I've heard, not one of them has been; "I wish I'd spent more time at the office" - Wayne Dyer

When every child is born, they have the subconcious knowledge that the world is a playground and everything is for fun. Society turns them into a working machine, and instills many bad values
