Six U.S. soldiers die in deadliest month of Afghan war

KABUL, Afghanistan —

NATO announced Friday that six more U.S. troops have died in Afghanistan, bringing the death toll for July to at least 66 and surpassing the previous month's record as the deadliest for American forces in the nearly 9-year-old war.

This "war on terror" is never going to end, and the U.S. will continue to send young men and women into war, to die. I don't think there is any reason for troops to be in Iraq or Afghanistan. I would understand if there were only black ops soldiers, but to have as many troops as we do is unnecessary. The U.S. needs their troops at home to protect the borders.
