Just to clarify...they were protesting. And it appears were aware of hw to go limp, which makes it harder for the police to escort someone.

They were offered temporary housing in hotels and refused and chose to instead live in the street.

And they had been evicted and were living in the street.

It sure is easy being smug and sarcastic, over the plight of fellow human beings regarding an issue you have never personally experienced, isn’t it?

Empathy is one of the most glorious things humans are blessed with... what a shame some choose to ignore it under a vale of bravado and misplaced machismo-ism!

Yes i understand all that... but like i said before... in their minds this temporary accommodation was nothing more than a stop off before the airport.

What amazes me is the hypocrisy i see in some people...

Put up the price of petrol... and people get angry and protest.

Raise taxes... that means people may have a little less disposable income... people get angry, make threats and take to the streets.

Mention carbon trading... Health care... illegal immigrant stealing an apple...

All hell breaks loose... "It will be a cold day in hell before those pesky illegal’s take my apples"

"I'm mad as hell and not taking any more... screw the planet i want to drive my SUV"

However, a group of frightened African woman protest against being evicted from where they live???

"Well they were given an option" and "They should have left their baby’s with a babysitter"

Seems to me that most people HATE protestors until its something that fits their own personal agenda, and therefore becomes worthy of protest!!

I wouldnt have the heart to do what the cops were doing even if they pay me in millions, I would rather work for very few dollars than commit such crime.
Bohoo to the people(gomment) who did this to the children and women...

if they were at a protest they ought to be fully aware of what could happen. If they didn't want their kids there they should have left them out of it.

left them where ???
they are homeless

This is about as bad as it can get but I have to ask the question - who would take infants to a bloody protest anyways. Please do not think I am condoning what the Police have done because I am not and stand with others that say its wrong, but why use babies a shield, why take the little ones in the first place...

If they were evicted and living on the streets, then there is not really anywhere else they can leave their children.

They probably thought ( evidently mistakenly ) that the French police wouldn't stoop as low as to forcibly remove and assault women and children.
