Lookout Inc., a mobile-phone security firm, scanned nearly 300,000 free applications for Apple Inc.'s iPhone and phones built around Google Inc.'s Android software. It found that many of them secretly pull sensitive data off users' phones and ship them off to third parties without notification.

Google collecting information on people you say?.... impossible!
/sarcasm

I knew they were collecting it from searches and such, but to be collecting information off your phone without your knowledge? thats even more unacceptable then what the company's already well known for doing, guess it just doesn't matter to them anymore they figure they are so powerful now that they're untouchable.

Looks like Apple is jumping on board too, cant say I'm surprised, company's wanna know everything about everyone, its creepy.

If startpage would make an iphone app as good as Googles, I would use it and feel better about searching in privacy.

But anyone with any sense knows, that an Iphone is nothing but a spy device.

They can hear your conversations, track you within 3 feet, and monitor your internet.

I shouldn't have one...
can't break my app addiction though...

I love my Iphone even though they can track it. Its only the best phone ever.. I am addicted to the apps and download a lot of the free ones. I was thinking about getting the free online banking one and now that they are possibly selling my info not any more...
