What I wonder is...what makes them think they have the right to decide that in the first place? First of all, it's not their business when, where, and how Israel goes to war. Second of all, the neocons in the US are JUST as eager to go to war with Iran as Israel. And thirdly, it's not the House of Representatives' business or job to decide the future of other countries.

Rant off. It pissed me off a bit.

l couldnt have said it better myself. Why oh why cant folks see what is really going on? What is happening now has been planned since the turn of the century, maybe even before. The State of lsrael was planned before ww2, The second world war was needed to create lsrael. The biggest nuclear base in the world most probably. Why do you think we pour billions of dollars into it year after year? l constantly hear folks talking about fighting our enemies. Think about it, When has the US ever been attacked? We only get attacked when We go to other countries and attack them, l call that self defence. As for the U.S, No matter who is voted in, that person will have no choice but tow the line because because the real PTB are pro lsraeli most have duel citizen passports and their loyalties are with lsrael. the same goes for the banking system , show me one who is not pro lsrael. The US forces will be told what to do and when to do it, by lsrael for lsraeli interest not the USA,s, ask your selves this question. What happened to the lsraeli naval officers that attacked the SS liberty, ah yes, l remember, They got promoted and the Us did nothing. Peace Starchild

This is a usa-israel war alliance, and should be met by the rest of the world as an illegal military operation.

Ans according to the bible it will be met by the rest of the world. If Ezekiel/Daniel/revelation is accurate, Israel will be destroyed and occpied for a period. Perhaps it is the Gog Magog war, can't say for sure. I need to brush up on that.

Anyway, prophecy crap aside, this is a very dangerous situation. As an American and a world citizen I strongly oppose ANY attack against Iran. It is time for a change, and not my country nor Israel are fit to lead the world.

Not in their current state anyway.

One question: What, practically, can anyone do about this?

This question highlights the main issue.

We only have a say in the lesser issues. This issue, along with other large issues such as the bailout and Iraq war, we have NO SAY. NONE.

There is nothing else to discuss. All actions you take will only provide you with some small and general sense of 'doing something'. The fact that it is pointless does not even enter the mind. One MUST do SOMETHING!

Until this problem is solved, there is no point in worrying about that which you can not change or influence.

When there is a cohesive MASS MOVEMENT that says "I have had enough of this $***!" and says it loud, wake me up and count me in. Until then, NOTHING will change.

The plans have been made and they were made a long time ago. The US population do not care. Sounds harsh but it is true. They just want their lifestyle, food and cheap goods or a job even.

Two things:

1. Republicans aren't in power, Democrats are. I know how badly you lefties want to make the less informed think differently, but the fact is Democrats hold the majority.

2. The Huffington Post is a government/Obama approved, left wing propaganda site.

Ron Paul - Libertarian

This is part of the problem. People love, spread and teach democracy, but they don't use it themselves. It is absolutely mandatory that you know who your potential candidates are

There are those who know their masters, and those who don't. Those that do, don't like what they see and have now been outnumbered. They are stocking up food, preparing to hide in a cave like a wounded animal. But it will fight to death when cornered, because it didn't let them cut its canines off.

I think that pretty much sums it up.

If the time comes for air strikes against Iran it will be because pressure is being put on the U.S. from other states. Nobody wants a nuclear armed Iran. Nobody but Iran that is. If at anytime it becomes clear Iran has developed a nuclear weapon you will see massive pressure on the US from the Arab and European States to act. Israel will most likely be kept out of it for political reasons. Russia and China may complain or they may come straight out and support the US but in the end that will be all they do. As long as the oil lines are secure China is happy and Russia has no love for Iran beyong using them as barganing chip with the US. Irans key is to keep as much confusion about its nuclear program as possible. The want a deterrent that would make Iraq un easy about grabbing some territiry down the road or to keep Israel from hitting them for supporting Hamas or to deter any of the other local states from interfering with anything they do. However they do not want that deterrent to be to concrete as that will draw in the major powers to act. Its a game they have been playing for a long time.

Not good news at all. Strangely enough this post was from a Canadian me.

Question for my US friends? Do you not know whats going on in your own backyard anymore? Seems to me the "We the People" is not happening stateside.

They won't be satisfied until all Iranians look like this:

A part of me feels like screaming, and another part feels like crying.

If they thought Vietnam was an "unpopular war", just wait til they hear the outcries on this one.

This is beyond absurd. Iran? No. No no no.

Huh, so it turns out Republicans don't even need to be in the WH to push yet another war on us. Hey a$$holes how about waiting until we finish at least one of the two current wars before pushing us into another one? Looks like the military-industrial apparatus and their sidekick big oil want to keep the war funding flowing, god forbid we spend money on something domestic like our own health care.

I totally agree with you, we don't need another war and we can't afford another war.

...but somehow there's always enough money for another war. Can't extend unemployment benefits, say there's not enough money to provide universal health care, but lots of dough to blow #e up. Pitiful.

Indeed. I have been saying this for a long time. Our priorities are butt backwards. OMG HEALTHCARE, OBAMA SOCIALIST FREAKS!!! AHHHH!!! oh, its money for bombs? ok then.

I'm all for voting incumbents out and changing policy especially when it comes to not expanding the war in the Middle East. But, with that said, remember that when those independents get to Washington they will each have a team of Lobbyists asigned to them. Whether it be from the energy sector, the Ag. sector, the MIC or whover.......throw enough money at them and I'm sure some individuals morals will crumble under the weight of millions of dollars.

It's 100% WW3, as many have said, been planned for a long time...

War is the only thing that can save your Republicratzions, they are all in it together.

Enables them to - 1, Bring in the Draft 2, send all your young boys off to another country causing a major uprising among those who object, and thats the majority, to then be labelled as terrorists and 3, marshall law to be implemented so all those foreign troops now on American soil can round up those terrorists (American patriots) and march them into all the detention camps that have been already set up to house them, 4, creates jobs for those too scared to openly object, 5, Allows elections to be postponed indefenitely, 6, allows government to close down the internet, 7, Put the last nails in the constition and 8, ration food, water and generally bring the american people under total control and submission.

The only way to stop a war is to not put on the uniform...

Good luck to you all and may God Bless you all.

That map says it all.
It is time for Americans to speak out. Period. It is Americans that vote these agents of Israel into office, and Americans have to throw them out. We have to ask hard questions of those that seek office, and demand answers.
We cannot rely on the overstuffed Walmartians and MacDonalds Happy Mealers to join the cause, so we have to work overtime.
We have a short time to make a difference, or I fear it will get really ugly in the world.
