Rather than respond to name-calling and wild claims that cannot be backed up by the detractors of this thread, let me just say that those detractors have very poor reading skills. If they had taken the time to actually READ the entire OP, they would have seen that nowhere did I single out one party or administration, but have indicted the administrations of the last several decades. It is the detractors that play left versus right, rather than right versus wrong.
Unfortunately, they twist meanings, put up straw men arguments, and lie about the facts.
If people like those detractors cannot have a scholarly discussion, without such childishness, then PLEASE start your own thread, where you are free to rant and rave about things that were never said. I have no problem debating those that have legitimate disagreements. However, I will not debate things that I never said, nor straw men that I had nothing to do with. It is people like them that allow the tyranny of politicians to destroy our Constitution, giving such criminals free reign to urinate on our Constitution, without calling them out over it.
I don't expect such people to understand. It is above their level of civil discourse.

Personally I think the whole mandatory health care debacle is a classic example of people not "seeing the forest for the trees".

Fact: Health insurance has been around in one form or another in the us since the civil war.

Fact: Health care costs did not rise exponentially until 1965, when the government created the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Costs have continued to rise since then.

Had it not been for this initial socialist program, i.e. federal government sticking their noses where they didnt belong, We never would have needed insurance to begin with!

Now it's been taken a step further, and made mandatory for all.
Here's an analogy that I like to use: Seatbelts. Seatbelts are a good idea. I use them frequently. However..... The government, federal nor state, has any place in a free society to force me to do so, at penalty. Mandatory use of seatbelt laws, like mandatory health insurance, or mandatory ANYTHING, is nothing more than the government saying to us "We own you.......You are our slaves......

You see, while it may (or may not) stem from the best of intentions, government intervention NEVER EVER works "as intended". Look, for example, at the wondrous things it has done for the public education system, and the economy.

I understand but i don't think that would work in the modern world, IMO you have to the it the right way and let people see by your example maybe run for mayor of your town and go from there lead by example

How many Declarations of Independence do y'all need before you guys get out of your parent's basements and go do something?

I mean how many pointless rants to we have to put up with? I bet the founding fathers would just laugh at this idiocy. They would laugh at the cowardice, laugh at the stupidity, and laugh at you.

You all wrote your declarations, you tea bagged DC, you have a group who says they are the interim government, what are you waiting for?

See, the faster you start, the sooner it will end, and we can all get back to reality.

All I am saying is, if you don't have the guts to pull the trigger, SHUT UP!

some folks consider dialogue, discourse, and debate to be the best first course of action. As our country's beginning documentation even says: (emphasis added)

You cannot truly think that those events in our past "just happened", do you? That there was no patient attempt at peace in the forefront, with dark and "treasonous" talk in the background? The attempts at peaceful change lasted, if I recall correctly, nearly a decade before "seditious" talk came to the forefront!

Your videos, while extremely degrading, serve no real purpose toward debate. Kudos for that. For unless you are willing to join an attempt at righting this train before it wrecks, then i'd have to say that you sir or madam, are a tory.

Actually, the poor are running the show, which is evidenced by the fact that the dollar is on the brink of collapse and no hiring is occuring in the face of tax tsunami. It's called the zero -liability voter. They pay no taxes, yet vote to raid the treasury of free government cheese.
As for the constitution, the founding fathers had the common sense to specify that only land owners could vote. This, until the constitution was bastardized by bed-wetting liberals, prevented the situation we're in now. You should probably read it.
Actually, the biggest problem you have would be that when the coming depression takes hold, your free government cheese will disappear. That means no more free trips to the public health clinic for you. And no more "gummint checks,"
As you obviously have no grasp of capitalism, your options would appear to be very limited. But hey, keep your fingers crossed. Maybe when you grow up, you can find a man to take care of you. Or maybe not, huh.
Any way, when your shift at the Obama campaign is over, borrow some money from a capitalist or your dad, and pick up a copy of "Atlas Shrugged." You'll love it.
I really like the way you throw down the racist card with each post. It's the debate equivilant of "Oh Yeah!". Class division is a marxist, or as you would know it, "progressive" tactic. The idea is to seperate everyone into a victim class, and against the one paying the freight, say the "white" collar crowd. We take all these zero liability voters, lump them together, raid the treasury and make the white folks (see, I can play) pay for it all. There's never a problem, that is until the white folks run out of money, the zero-liability voters loose their jobs and "gummint checks". And BINGO, we get Zimbabwe (that's a country in africa, for more info see a book on something called "g e o g r a p h y". In fact, on my wall I have a 50 trillion dollar (zimbabwe) treasury note. It's real, and worth about 1.3 cents. But hey, that's progressivism, right?

Joseph Warren



Joseph Warren, a respected physician and patriot, lived in the center of the whirlwind of revolutionary activity in the 1760s and 1770s, but was cheated of greater fame by an early death in the opening round of the War for Independence. He was born in Roxbury, Massachusetts, where his father was a farmer and community leader. Warren graduated from Harvard College in 1759, then served briefly as master of the Roxbury grammar school.

Warren undertook the study of medicine and opened a practice in Boston in 1764. His political activities began in earnest the following year when he penned a number of newspaper essays during the Stamp Act Crisis.




His involvement with the St. Andrew’s Masonic Lodge brought him into the company of James Otis and other notable critics of British policies.

Later, during the Townshend duty unrest, Warren wrote under the nom de plume “A True Patriot” in the Boston Gazette. This infuriated Governor Francis Bernard, who tried unsuccessfully to prosecute the publishers for seditious libel.

In 1772, Warren's prominence was recognized when he was selected to deliver the commemorative oration on the anniversary of the Boston Massacre. He worked closely with Samuel Adams on the committee of correspondence and when Adams left to attend the First Continental Congress in 1774, Warren assumed leadership of the radical cause in Boston. He authored the Suffolk Resolves, a strongly worded statement of the emerging American position that was endorsed by the Congress.

The Massachusetts legislature was suspended in 1774, for its refusal to toe the line following the Boston Tea Party. An extralegal Provincial Congress met in October, and Warren served as president pro tem. He also chaired the Committee of Safety, whose purpose was to collect arms and train militia units.

In March 1775, despite receiving threats on his life, Warren again delivered the annual speech honoring the fallen in the Boston Massacre. Old South Church was so full that the speaker had to enter the building by climbing a ladder and crawling through a window behind the pulpit. His oration was well received, except by the British officers in attendance who heckled him.

We are slightly partial to him, as he is a distant relative of my wife, who unlike me, can trace her family back to 1638 in the US.

The people that write these "declarations" have absolutely zero intent of ever changing anything, all this does is gives themselves an ego boost. They just want to feel important, all the while they stay safe and sound in their homes.

Unless you actually do something, all this declaration amounts to is empty talk. You don't put yourself in the same league as the people in endisnighe's list above, fact is, you don't have near the mettle as the people who signed the REAL Declaration of Independence.

It's a waste of everyone's time, it's even a waste of your time.

So what is it? Are you going to put up, or shut up?

Let me take a bit from the conservative dialog "America, love it or leave it" If you don't like the way this country is run, please do us all a favor and leave.
