Please see this short 3 min. video link to find out why…

In ‘Chronicles of Narnia’ Author CS Lewis’ own words…

www.youtube.com...

Is he speaking OF you?

Is he speaking TO you?

OT

PS: “Whom do men say IAM?”

Hmmm…

Lewis brings up a good point.

In analyzing Christs words you're left with two choices.

Either Christ is in fact what he says he is, or, he's a lunatic.

He (Christ) leaves no misunderstanding he's a 'good moral teacher'.

No, the choices are He is God, the Son of God, or, He is not. No in between.

peace

Hi silo13, hope all is well.

I couldn't quite follow your point? Would you be so kind to clarify?

Thank you

I always liked C.S. Lewis. I've even read a few of his books. I like the Lord, liar or lunatic argument.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

You guys may be missing the point. It's a quote from the book, "Mere Christianity". An excellent read, and highly recommended by me to many.

[Edit to add]

I didn't see Silo's edited post prior to making this one.

Sorry I got stuck in an edit.

First the video wouldn't work.

Then I saw the 'donate to Chris White' pay-pal link under the (then) broken video.

From there I lost internet connection, lol...

Now, my original post is edited. Sorry about that...

peace

Yes I know Jesus is a good being and I dont think I am wrong to think the lamb is a positive individual..... This type of commenting only justifies that when he reveals himself MANY will not be receptive to the and shall call him evil for interfering with their negative ways of thinking and living...

Rethink. The emphasis isn't on "good". The emphasis is on "man". Don't be so quick to assume.

I'm saying you might want to defer judgment about the implication of the statement until you've viewed the 3 minute video.

the greatest flaw in this video is that it is based on a doctrine, a doctrine set by caesar augustinus if Im not mistaken at the council of geneve about 400 years AFTER Jesus walked the earth... what doctrine? the one doctrine wich the majority of christians accept as gospel while there is not 1 reference in the bible about it... Trinity.. this doctrine is easily debunked and consequentially this thread is as well...

anybody waiting for some "slappin with scriptures" just ask..

Thank you for that video Oldthinker, it sure raises questions for me, as Silo13 pointed out though, he is either a lunatic (with a brilliant mind) or he is who we claim him to be, God.
For every Sin we have perpetrated against us, we take personally, only a creator would see it as a sin against himself.

I don't disagree. The reason I like this particular excerpt is because it nullifies the potential argument that Jesus was a good moral example, a good teacher and man, but not divine. The logical conclusion would be that he was either (a) who he claimed to be or (b) nuts.

The whole trinity issue is a side topic, in my opinion. I try to not get caught up in scripture slapping. It's a futile, frustrating, and tedious exercise to me.
