503 errors and 'server not available'?

Not sure if it's just me experiencing this - but today has been hellish trying to access ATS.

Anyone shed any light on to this, is it a server error or something?

Yes, been very slow for me as well, with a couple of 503 errors. I think they are doing some maintenance on the servers.

Yeah, it's happening for me too for some reason.

Btw doesn't maintenance only happen on weekends?

Yeah Im having the same issues with it. I also had similar problems yesterday

Same here, it was acting really slow all morning, it seems to be up to speed now though

oh ya!!! yesterday i couldnt get any threads to load at all. today is very slow..thought it was just me.

I've received 4 "page not found" errors this morning.

Yeah I am having the same problems, anyone know what it is.

I have a lot of:

Service Unavailable
This server is temporarily unable to service requests.(Internal-Reason: 132)
and it's damn slow.

Just got one trying to reply. Its either server maintenance or ATS got too close to the truth and the FBI and CIA and area 51 are trying to hack the servers and steal the info back

If this is a DDos attack the timing is interesting.

There were some recent code changes, and I suspect some of this may be the problem. If you've ever written computer code (I have), you'll remember that the tiniest of changes (like changing a name) can sometimes cause the whole thing to behave like a 4 year old having a temper tantrum.

We've alerted SO, and hope the issues will be resolved later today.

Ditto, and yesterday I had the most obnoxious full pgae ad pop up when I logged in.

I thought the problem might have been associated with the following story which someone tried to start a thread on but I get the 404 error when trying to pull it up...

Erm yeah its been slow.

But what on earth is all that about in your link? Could we end up being sued personally for using articles and information from news sites?
