Oh well, at this time of year friends and family are foremost anyway really.
Hehe, who knows what the 2011 will bring too!

You might be single, but shy, from what you have described, no way!

I am sometimes thought to be shy because i don't do smalltalk. But if i and the partner have something in common, something to really discuss, i am not a bit shy, i look into her eyes and use bodylanguage to convey my point.

It is just the society that currently is somehow ass backwards. You are shy if you don't go picking up on every piece of ass and find out something to talk about from nothing. I have tried that, but in the long run it just ends up hurting you.

Love just hits you when you least expect it with someone you never would have guessed of - if you go on and start planning and setting up criteria you will end up in a relationship that is not happy and certainly does not last.

Maybe you're right, perhaps I'm not really shy just 'discerning' but hey, at the end of the day I can positively say that
being single has many advantages too and I'm not going to sit around moping or wondering why things don't work out every time...
I'm lucky to have good friends and fun things to do and a lot of work also.

we were really great, and he certainly was a soul mate - in fact it was so
hard to take in because we both thought it was too good to be true, you know?
we were so hesitant to embrace the best thing that ever happened to us... and well, his ex needed him more than I did so, we decided to let it go...
for now.

Get a nice ring for your wedding finger that has the big letters "FREE" or "TBA" written on it.

I tried internet dating early last year, and can I just say the experience was... not great.
e.g one bloke was about 15yrs older then his profile stated and quite literally lived in his mothers basement...
which I discovered when I picked him up... Because he had no car... or job!
But... I'm willing to try again I suppose...
I would rather find someone through mutual friends and family, or work etc.
Actually - scratch that - I don't know what I want!!! typical female, yes?

So keep trying..

just because you had one bad experience doesn't mean your next one will be the same...

Sadly enough internet dateing seems to be the way to go these days. At least you have the opportunity to get to know someone before you meet them.

Meeting someone through friends is usually a pain, either way liars are out there so you just gota be careful
