Obama is doing nothing to correct the mistakes and misdeeds of the Bush administration. He cannot, the beast controls him, he does not control the beast.
Patriotic bravado serves only the political establishment, not the people. The people are fast becoming impoverished through the politics of both the Democratic and the Republican parties. They are both controlled by very powerful interests, not swayed in the slightest from their respective agendas by the interests of the people.
This is clear to anyone who pays attention to what these crooks actually DO, as opposed to the drivel they feed the gullible.
The bullet you take is more likely to come from a police state thug, or someone fighting against U.S. aggression overseas, than it is from an actual American patriot.

If you weren't such an unamerican communist, hell bent on destroying your country you'd be able to see the truth. and that truth is 'majority' = 'republican'

other words and phrases that are synonyms for republican:
-patriotic
-American
-democratic
-fair
-just
-rational
-right
-correct
-Christian
-Family Values
-freedom

now it should be perfectly clear why democrats are unpatriotic, unAmerican, unfair, unjust, irrational, wrong, Satan/Allah worshipping secularists with no family or community values that just want to take away your freedom.

People get mad when they've been had.
Too many believed the hype during the campaign.
Now they are waking up to reality and they see that they were lied to
by someone who has the integrity of a cockroach - oh, sorry , a cockroach has more integrity. obama has turned his one-term into one big party with beautiful, costly events all at our expense. His priorities are, well, HIM. of course. He goes on THE VIEW and ignores the boyscouts. Rome burns while...

...What things did Obama do wrong from the beginning?... Let's see... He, and his thugs spent more money on his inauguration than any other president before him at a time when THEY KNEW we were in an economic crisis.

That should tell you, he, and his thugs don't give a # about Americans.

Part of the money they used to make it look like some sort of Greek temple, or even Roman temple as if crowning the caesar...

Over $13 trillion dollars were lost into a black hole and obama had the galls to claim "no one knows where the money went or what happened"...

Not to mention that he claimed the first thing he would do was to bring home the troops, which of course it hasn't happened...

He promised transparency in government, and in fact it has been quite the contrary...

That's just part of what happened at the beginning of his office, since then he has talked about wanting indefinite dentention, and even if people haven't comitted any crimes but rather "for what they could do"...

He signed and implemented among many bills H.R. 1388 giving power to something he/they call "the corporation" over education, as well as voluntary and mandatory community service...

He, and Rham Emanuel, among some others in his administration, have talked about not only FORCED community service, but also FORCED military service or to work for free for the government giving a certain amount of time to the government for free, and they have the galls to claim "that is what it takes to be an American"...when that is what it takes to be a slave to another socialist/communist regime...

Let's see, what else? oh yeah even the leftwing media caught up with the fact that the Obama administration made deals with big pharma to screw Americans...

He took over a private business, GM, when that only happens in socialist/communist dictatorships...

Not to mention the fact that he claimed "jobs will be saved" meanwhile Americans were losing 500,000 jobs per month, and sometimes even more...

And those are only a few of the things that have happened since Obama took office., he has broken most, if not all his "'so called promises" and has only made things worse...

But you want to ask what has he done?....

BTW, AGAIN, I don't wish any harm to him or his family, but impeachment is a must if we are to save what is left of this country...

Apparently it was Majority = Republican that elected John McCain as president. Oh, wait a minute, John McCain didn't win. It's time that you came to the realization that the majority of voters in this country elected Obama.

In a democracy, there are winners and there are losers, currently you're a loser along with the rest of the republican party and you making false accusations about me won't change that. Get over it!

In my view, no better or worse than the 8 years prior. He's barely been in office 18 months. As an American, I think the vehemence and the vitriol is way, way overboard.

I'd challenge your numbers and reasoning, but that would be a total waste of time. I know exactly how pointless that would be. I would however advise you to really take another look at the Bush years. I think you'd find a LOT of similarities. And I'd ask you if you bitched this loudly then. But I do see how reasoning like this might lead to what happened in the doctor's office.

Our issues here in this country are much, much larger and much more important than the exaggerated and encouraged hatred/disapproval and party line BS.

That's because NONE of those people who voted for him, and neither you have EVER read the Constitution of these United States...

If you had it would have been clear by now...

U.S. Constitution - Article 4 Section 4

Article 4 - The States
Section 4 - Republican Government

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

www.usconstitution.net...

I wonder what the forefathers meant by the United States shall GUARANTEE to every state a REPUBLICAN form of government..... hummm....

I think you may have forgotten to mention the fact that all republicans have halos over their heads and wings on their backs. Man, to hear you tell it, ya'll should be elected to rule the world, permanently. NOT!

Absolutely correct, friend!
barry s., AKA, "obama", is destroying this country. He has OPENLY stated, that he HATES everything America stands for, and - well, look at his friends. "We are judged, by the company we keep", are we not?

I, for one, would love to see him, drop from a brain aneurism, something, that could NOT be blamed, on "conservatives", or Libertarians!

Our ancestors, GAVE THEIR LIVES, for the FREEDOM, we are now, throwing away. I say "we", but THAT does NOT include ME! I LOVE this country, and beleive, in the U.S. Constitution! I would DIE, to protect it- from enemies, foreign, or DOMESTIC! "Freedom, is NOT Free!"

I question why some of you people are even here at ATS. Seriously.

There are certain kinds of bickering like that which we're starting to see in this thread that makes us lose sight.

A bickering (distracting and deflecting) element always existed at ATS, but never to the extent as we're seeing lately, which we have to assume is just mirroring the country.

It seems to be increasing in proportion with the influx of people who really do have one huge political agenda to spread don't seem "get" certain things about ATS...one being that we have to make every attempt set aside BS labels and stories to get to truths...and don't seem to be willing to learn them.

To me, ATS is not just another platform for ANY political agenda, and if you attempt to bring it into the conversation, don't expect to have it taken in the way you expected it to be taken.

We ANALYZE those kinds of things here...we don't take them at face value or swallow the bull, so expect a lot of criticism and questioning and to be challenged.

And don't let the fact that cliques of like-minded individuals forming to pat each other on the hiney make you assume what you're doing is "working."

Just because the story in question takes place in Atlanta, is no reason to throw out southern racial stereotypes. They are older, not more ignorant or senile. This group of people will be hurt more directly and more swiftly by Obamacare, which sitting a waiting room, brings to top of mind status in their immediate lives. Their feelings of helplessness certainly can lead to tremendous anger.

Exactly. There was no racial element even alluded to in this brief explosion. Nothing happened that would lead me to believe it was a factor at all.

You'd be best advised to scroll back a few pages and read my post about labels before you throw anymore out and expect me to even attempt to have a civil discussion with you.

And no, I stopped trying at $13 trillion that was somehow Obama's fault.

I wait for your analysis of the Bush years and your commentary on what you saw that is similar to what is happening now. And I'd ask you again if you bitched this loudly then.

And I only ask this because it helps me know what level you're coming from as a discussion starting point.

Oh, i see, so mentioning the Constitution of the United States, and mentioning facts are just distracting tactics?...

First of all, the $13 trillion figure I gave is a conservative estimate, and one given by Ron Paul.

maddmedic.wordpress.com...

others put it at about...

Bailouts could cost U.S. $23 trillion

A series of bailouts, bank rescues and other economic lifelines could end up costing the federal government as much as $23 trillion, the U.S. government’s watchdog over the effort says – a staggering amount that is nearly double the nation’s entire economic output for a year.

If the feds end up spending that amount, it could be more than the federal government has spent on any single effort in American history.
..

www.politico.com...

Second of all Bush does not represent republicanism, even though I agreed with some things he did I disagreed with others.

However, what is very telling is that an American claims that posting facts, and posting quotes from the U.S. Constitution are "distracting pile of BS" and it cleary shows what sort of American we are dealing with.

The following I have posted in the past, and it comes from a LIBERAL known as Rachel Maddow about Obama's indefinite detention speech...

www.youtube.com...

The fact that the Obama administration made deals with Big Pharma was also in leftist websites such as....

Internal Memo Confirms Big Giveaways In White House Deal With Big Pharma

A memo obtained by the Huffington Post confirms that the White House and the pharmaceutical lobby secretly agreed to precisely the sort of wide-ranging deal that both parties have been denying over the past week.

The memo, which according to a knowledgeable health care lobbyist was prepared by a person directly involved in the negotiations, lists exactly what the White House gave up, and what it got in return.
...

www.huffingtonpost.com...

Oh and then there is...

Obama's inauguration is most expensive ever at $160 million

It will take Barack Obama less than a minute to recite the oath of office -- and when he’s done dancing at the inaugural balls Jan. 20, the price tag for his swearing-in festivities could approach $160 million.

Obama’s inaugural committee is in the midst of raising roughly $45 million in private funds, exceeding the $42.3 million President Bush spent in 2005. In 1993, Clinton spent $33 million when Democrats returned to the White House for the first time in 12 years.
...

www.nydailynews.com...

So the only one who is using distracting tactics which are nothing but BS is obviously not me....

I'm very sorry that I viewed you using this thread as means to further your political agenda.

I am well aware of ALL you posted and then some. I could challenge every point and have done so successfully in many threads, but why? We're beyond that.

My question to you remains open. Where were you during the Bush years. Let's narrow it down for you...to your stance on what happened to the Constitution.

And a second question. Do you blame the Obama administration for the $13 trillion? Or just for not knowing where it went?

"Over $13 trillion dollars were lost into a black hole and obama had the galls to claim "no one knows where the money went or what happened"..."

What did he further say about this?

But you know what? I just got suckered in. Never mind. This is off this generalist topic.
