hey guys, i have the answers to all of your questines, because i was there. the figure on the left is ssg c. the figure on the right is sgt or spc t (i cant remember what he was at the time). i can assure you that both are alive and well (and embaresed). yes the picture is real. but the hair is photoshopped (ssg c.'s real hair is thinner than one of the olsen twins). peronally i think that they borrowed his hair from glen beck. the thing in his ear is an earpiece. no helmet was worn because it is not manditory within the "green zone". it is a group of 2 nato bases and several afghan organizations, where civilian traffic is very limited (although still present). no when this pic was taken we were not looking for the missing sailors, but instead on a seprate tasking a day or 2 prior. name tapes were covered because it was a ln taking the pic. any other queastines
