I have reason to believe that Assange has it, along with photos, video and equally damning evidence of export and import operations as well as distribution inside the USA., an outline and evidence of the criminal alliances between the US military, CIA and other federal agencies etc... This would have been a major story... BUT?

I should say HAD it, obviously they don't now.

In my opinion of course.

There are 'other' ways.

Based on what?
And if he does have it, perhaps he's releasing it incrementally like others have suggested?

I hope some of the information Assange has, has to do with the opium trade in Afghanistan. I'm sorry but I find it sickening to hear stories like the one I heard on NPR a month or so ago. We are supplying the poppy farmers with pesticides because they were having an aphid outbreak. I mean really?... We were fed all this hogwash about how the illicit drug trade funded terrorists then we turn around and care for the actual crops?! I'm quite sure we all know the manufacturer of those pesticides.. Monsanto maybe?

I've also heard that conscientious objector applications were at an all time high among troops already having served tours. The most common reason given is they feel they aren't fighting for freedom or democracy but for intersections and checkpoints to facilitate logistics. Sounds like to me they don't like escorting and guarding convoys of opium and heroin.

Anyway, keep fighting the good fight Julian Assange we need you now.

Ahhhh, can you smell that America? It's the smell of freshly brewed coffee. Because, guess what. The alarms are starting to go off, and it's time to wake up America. Combine the release of the Washington Post article with the release of the wikileaks cables, and that's a step in the right direction when you finally have msm covering these "conspiracy" stories.

Once the ignorance has been denied, then we can truly move on as a species.

lol this isn't secret, this look like a government attempt at reassuring us that there is good reasons to be in afghanistan-which there isn't. advertising this to the public in the form of a "secret" format only work if we're all idiots.

If it was going to happen, it would have NOW.

Not going to come out from Wikileaks.

They are 100% under control.

Anything they release now will be designed and intended to meet specific objectives, either politically or for intelligence gathering, data mining and tracking of anonymous contributors.

But hey, don't take my word for it.

Just wait and see.

"I'm confused.....were supposed to arrest and try the Taliban as we fight them in a war? Personally I just prefer we kill them in engagements.......we are still allowed to fight them aren't we??? Just want to make sure it's acceptable to fire at them. I also see no problem in killing Taliban with Drones so we don't have to risk coalition troops. "

Are you joking or are you insane? You seem to relish in this evil, like you're a part of it.

I think you are right, this is just another attempt to keep the U.S. involved in Afghanistan as long as possible. The 300 important items aren't really secrets or very important. It just "proves" that the U.S. presence is justified.

How the coalition is increasingly using deadly Reaper drones to hunt and kill Taliban targets by remote control from a base in Nevada.

The above I thought was fairly common knowledge.

But US pilot logs show they were certain the missile was not an RPG and was most likely a Manpad – the military term for a shoulder-launched surface-to-air missile. "Witness statements from Chalk 3 [another aircraft] suggest Flipper was struck by Manpad," it reads.

Those fears were confirmed by two Apache attack helicopters hovering over the crash site that came under fire from more missiles, twice in 30 minutes. Both missiles missed, and the pilots subsequently reported that they were "not an RPG" but a "probable first-generation MANPAD".

"Clearly the Taliban were attempting to down an Apache after downing the CH-47," it read.

The crash and its handling highlight steadily escalating US worries amid a stream of intelligence reports, also captured in the files, that suggest the Taliban were being supplied with missiles from Iran and Pakistan.

One internal report in September 2005 warned that Taliban commanders in Zabul and Kandahar provinces had acquired missiles they called "number two Stinger", for about $1,000 (£650) each. Nine months later came the first of at least

After reading this, I am on the fence on what I think of wikileaks. On one hand, the idea and very being of Wikileaks is a good thing, as it provides information that all people can access, and information about the conflicts that are currently going on. War is not nice or pleasent, people die in war, both those who we are fighting and innocents. In war there is no such thing as friendly fire. Are there accidents in war, misfires, wrong coordinates, yes, as there is no perfect weapon that will only zero in on the target. Both sides will commit atrocities, and as terrible as they are, they do happen, and have happened in every armed conflict. We as a society and people have started to become immune to what war and battle is about, the images that our fathers and forefathers once saw and experienced, todays generation has not seen. So in this aspect it will help the next generation who are so triggure happy to think twice before calling for a war or armed conflict.
But on the other hand, wikileaks is going to do more damage than good, as there needs to be time to complete the battle, victory declared before such is let out to the public. There may be the freedom of information, but push too hard, release one too many documents, and then soon, they will classify such, to prevent such from being released to the general public, doing more harm and preventing the public from knowing what all really is going on.

the only way war crimes are bought to justice is when they are exposed

all material is screened to ensure no active duty staff are comprimised

this is clasified because its a crime not to protect the troops

watch the video from wiki about the release

Afghanistan is home to the mother of all drug wars.

You all have taken the spoon fed lies for long enough to begin believe them.

Which side are we on now anyway?

What exactly are we fighting for over there now?

Maybe we should ask our buddies in Pakistan?

Believe, Obey, Conform... It's all good now, and the bad parts, well that was all Bush's fault.

Groom Lake?

Nope.

Creech Air Force Base (IATA: INS, ICAO: KINS, FAA LID: INS), formerly known as Indian Springs Air Force Auxiliary Field, is a United States Air Force base located one mile (2 km) north of the central business district of Indian Springs, in Clark County, Nevada, United States.[2] It is about 35 miles (56 km) northwest of Las Vegas and 45 miles (72 km) northwest of Nellis Air Force Base. It is named in honor of General Wilbur L. “Bill” Creech, known as the "Father of the Thunderbirds".

The host unit is the 432d Wing, which has six operational squadrons, one maintenance squadron, and MQ-9 Reapers and MQ-1 Predators.

Along with being the aerial demonstration training site for the Thunderbirds, the base plays a major role in the ongoing War on Terror. The base is home to the MQ-1 Predator unmanned aerial vehicle which is used regularly in Afghanistan and Iraq. The base is also home to the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Battlelab.

Bravo Wikileaks, and bravo to the absolutely amazing courage of whistleblowers. They are true Heros.

US replies with same old, same old. Putting them and their buddies at risk.
Never mind the abominable risk they are to Afghans. Never mind the mass murder of children and civilians which they are deliberately carrying out.

9/11 was a terrorist attack carried out by the US Government on its own people. The Afghan war is illegal. US and its allies are therefore carrying out terrorist activities in these countries.

The Taliban are old buddies of Obama (aka Soreto, aka God knows who).
The US is possibly even now providing them with weapons, as they did in the past, (via Obama as agent in the field), to keep the conflict alive.

THE US GOVERNMENT are the ones who are putting US military and Afghan citizens at risk in an act of terrorism against Afghanistan.

The heroic whistleblowers and Wikileaks are trying to STOP this insanity.

The NaZionists who run US and international politics are the CRIMINALS, whose ony concern is to protect themselves. They are blatantly not interested in protecting anyone else.

Yes by all means lets demozie US forces. Lets overlook all of the civilian Deaths at the hands of the Taliban in the name of religion. While I have absolutely no problem holding our leaders / military accountible I ask this:

Who holds the Taliban accountible? Al Queda? Its hard to not have civilian casualties when the Taliban / Al Queda use schools and mosques to fight from.

Also bare in mind that just because wiki discloses information, its entirely possible they dont have ALL of the information.
