Heh..

Or porn. Mankind seems good at making use of new tech for porn.

You've brought this thread down to my level BFFT!

An acoustic Ogasmatron! Love it.

Attenuate the power, crank up the pulses, apply to naughty bits..and break out the Kleenex! Perfect.

Make love, not war!

S&F

Inventions are a two-edged sword. There are good and bad things that new ideas can bring about to society.

This sound bullet will definitely change how our world behaves.

I'm feeling pretty negative about this technology, more due to the people in power at the moment, we need a radically more intelligent, functional, peaceful society before I think we could make proper use of this technology, to me, it is evident in the simple fact that everyone involved seemed to be focused on the 'sound bullets' potential as a weapon, journalists & inventors alike.

I feel you. It's their intentions to first "Weaponize" every new technology, regardless of how destructive it is to the planet, or any to all life on the planet.

It's a damn shame too that people are not looking to put a stop to this sort of crap. I've just never heard of this, but all this does is create another weapons race for the world. Look at what they are doing with Anti-Matter, Nano-Technology and ZPEnergy. Yet, where the hell are the people? Where the hell is the pressure to cease the weaponization of radical new energies and technologies. I mean, hello? Eyes open here. It'll be too late by the time they finish producing these weapons. GAME. OVER. No second chance. None. Is there a part in this that most people just don't seem to get?

What? Does the human race have this sort of death wish scenario going on. More willing to sit and die where they are from self destruction instead of fighting the causes. Sorry to say, but our civilization is going to fall harder than a building set for demolition unless we start changing, and there is no other alternative solution to stop it from happening except to change.

Brown note:bad vibration mega-hurts
In the mid-1990s the press reported the existence of the Squawk Box as a military weapon.
It supposedly emitted high-intensity and high-frequency sounds of 16,000Hz and 16,002Hz.
These close frequencies then interfered with each other to produce a devastating and incapacitating 2Hz infrasound tone.
But it was later admitted that the "weapon" was a hoax, and was just some "disco gear" mounted on armoured personnel carriers.

interesting...no mention of other frequency based weaponry though..

There are known effects of infrasound, depending on how loud the sound is — vibration of the chest wall, changes in respiratory rhythm, sensation of gagging, vibration of the visual fields and so on.

It's well known that infrasound of 4–6HZ will make the contents of the chest and abdomen vibrate in sympathy, while 3–6Hz will interfere with the normal motility of the stomach.

Infrasound lower than 2Hz will make your whole body move as a single unit1 in resonance with the sound.

not a single mention of ultra sound as a weapon, or that a sound weapon would be a frequency based weapon like the microwave guns, which they DO have....

P.S) squakbox tech adapted to a binaural form: a 2 hz wave could be generated, whether it would be devistating or not? doubtful...though I'm not sure how much signifigance the 2 starting tones have when creating phantom tones...
