"Congratulations You've Won"

I understand advertising helps pay the bills and I can tune out most of the column and pop up advertisements. However, there is one little bugger that set's me off and it is the hyper flashing rectangle with a bright colored border and a smiley face saying, "congratulations...."
I think the color and flashing is programmed to get deep into the ole cortex. It penetrates my eyes , startles me with the voice and, yanks me out of contemplation. Guess it is successful marketing in that sense, but blah...me no like it!
