How Do I Report A Menacing/Harassing U2U?

I am sure there are others here who may wonder the same thing.

I recently received an unwanted, slightly menacing, but purely harassing email from a member.

I looked for a report button but did not find a way to report it.

So, I was wondering if there is a way to report this, or do we just have to ignore/block the person?

I do not particularly want to do so, as reading the persons posts gives me great entertainment, but as far as U2U'ing me and being rather unpleasant, I could do with out.

You will find the ATS staff take that sort of thing extremely seriously.

I recently got threatened with being "smashed in the face". Whilst I saw some degree of humour in the total stupidity of what was written, the ATS staff took an extremely dim view of it & took quick action.

I had this happen recently, also.

Just forward it to a Moderator, asking for help.

As I recall, I had to put the user name of the member I got the U2U from, though.

I suppose you could use the complaints/suggestions link. Or look and see what Mods are online (at bottom of board page) and just forward the u2u to them. They may not see this thread too fast...

Maybe...maybe not is correct... just report it to a Mod, they will normally action this sort of thing very fast.

I think I can guess the member. Maybe a U2U to the big man SkepticOverloard or Springer will get you some results if you are seriously being harassed. That would get someone banned pretty quick.

Thanks yall. It was no Ill smash you in the face but just a bit inappropriate.

Maybe when the ATS team redisigns the new site, they can add a report rotten u2u button to our private message system.

This is actually the first time I ever even thought of reporting a u2u, most people dont message me with this kind of nonsense.

I wish I could block someone yet still be able to read their posts.

Make sure you don't delete it. Apparently there is no way of retrieving it once you do.

Include the U2U and any other information you think is needed. You may not get a reply immediately, but we review every complaint or suggestion.

Lol, I bet your guess would be correct.

It is not serious harassment, like death threat, but it bothered me a little, partly due to what I perceive as unstability on the persons part due to very recent post history.
