I was just thinking, how it crazy it seems we (the US) are bogged down in Afghanistan, similar to (but not excactly) the way the USSR was in the
80's.
And how would we react if Russia DID supply them with MANPADS, like we did in the 80's.
If I remember correctly, those Stingers made a dent in Russian helicopter movements, and was a contributing factor (among others), to the Russian
withdrawal.
And how effective the NATO forces have the Country locked down, since you don't see on the news too many stories of choppers down. Or do they have a
more adequate defensive solution to MANPADS?
