I was just thinking, how it crazy it seems we (the US) are bogged down in Afghanistan, similar to (but not excactly) the way the USSR was in the 80's.

And how would we react if Russia DID supply them with MANPADS, like we did in the 80's.

If I remember correctly, those Stingers made a dent in Russian helicopter movements, and was a contributing factor (among others), to the Russian withdrawal.

And how effective the NATO forces have the Country locked down, since you don't see on the news too many stories of choppers down. Or do they have a more adequate defensive solution to MANPADS?

Just some midnite rambling folks.

The stingers were supplied late in the fight, once the resistance was already all across the country.

Just wait until the resistance reaches Panshare, then you will see stingers getting supplied by the enemies of America to Afghan resistance.

It has already reached the north, where Afghan puppet soldiers, and the Western occupiers are getting killed.

Sooner or later, either Iran, China, Russia, Pakistan etc will supply the resistance with stingers, or other missiles to finish the occupiers once and for all.

They are already loosing in average 3 soldiers a day.
