ACORN-Led 'Think Tank' Works In Concert With NY Times To Attack Energy Companies

biggovern ment.com

Earlier this month, The New York Times ran a front page article that claimed, “an examination of the American tax code indicates that oil production is among the most heavily subsidized businesses, with tax breaks available at virtually every stage of the exploration and extraction process.” The thesis of the article was that oil companies are the benefactors of enormous subsides, primarily through complicated maneuvering of offshore assets, “tax breaks,” and “loopholes.”
Unfortunately, the copy of the American tax code that The Times used to conduct their careful analysis appears

As if the troubles that ACORN has created has not yet gone away, they are back again. The question as to why a group, who is suppost to be into being a community activity and building would be getting back into trying to change political activities and laws.
Yes the petrolium companies do get tax breaks when it comes to delivering a product that affects all aspects of life. Oil has many uses from actually powering the world to many things that we use in every day life.
Many people fail to realize that the actual cost of finding, testing, drilling, transporting and changing oil into usuable products are enormous, along with the research and development of such new means to get more from a barrell of oil. The costs of all of this, along with the business, are extrodinary high.
Now in the current time and day, the oil and energy companies are under a large amount of fire, being that it is believed that they are going to be the main cause of the global warming today. What many people fail to also realize, is that part of all of the tax breaks that the oil companies get is often passed onto the public and the consumers. If they remove the tax breaks, then the price of fuel could go up, as a direct result.

You know I have always heard it said:

If you want more of something subsidize it, and if you want less of something tax it.

We need oil, and it needs to be cheap as possible to drive the economy, so I say subsidize it.

What we don't need is a bunch of lazy people having babies so they can get on the dole and not work.. I say take away their subsidies and slap them with an idiot tax.

Just a passing thought here but, where are these subsidies to come from?
