So what is it? A bird, a plane, a glitch?

I was out taking photos with my kids a week or so ago. The sky had some cool looking clouds. As I looked at some of the photos I noticed these weird things in them. The photos are huge. I think I still have them on my memory stick because I know someone is going to ask, but I can't get them off tonight. They don't look like planes, or birds and my camera lens was not dirty otherwise they would be on all photos I took at that time. So, any ideas? I had to crop the first one because ats upload was cutting off the photo because it was too large.

Maybe it's just a gnat or something on the lens?

Either way, interesting photos! It'd be nice to have a look at the EXIF data on the raw images.

I'm wondering how I could post the actual photos because they are so large? If I upload them here, the photo gets cut off right where the object is. If I crop them, I've messed the exif data up, haven't I?

ahhh... The infamous RODS have struck again! This anomalous imagery has been around for quite some time. do an internet search on Rods and UFOs - should turn up some similar insight for you.

Very interested picture, could be RODS but I've never seen any that thick... maybe it looks thick cause of the fins they have .

or could just be UFO .

Wow! Op, my mouth fell open when I saw your pics... I took the following pictures about 8-10 years ago... I did not see anything in the pictures when I was taking these pictures. I was 'skyfishing' You'll have to save the pictures to see them... I don't know how to do it so you can scroll across the pictures. I pointed it out with a red arrow in these pics.

Almost exactly same!
I did the contrast thing too with my pics, note only pictures 2,3,4, ignore the rest, ufos that I took too but the ones that don't look like rods...

The image in your photos does look a lot like mine. I guess these are so common that they don't draw much attention. I'm going to keep taking photos and keep looking for weird stuff in them.

i was lounging in a park in seattle and love taking pictures of contrasts, i noticed nothing unusual in the sky and did not see this till later. top left corner you can see a rod shaped object, .seattle, wa 6/19/2010 at 3:24pm. kinda interesting. looks the same almost.weird
