it has been thought by some people that the upper atmosphere is p[opulated by all sorts of creatures, sightings of everything from dragons to jellyfish. it is beleived rods may also belong here. as well as they make up several of the ufo sightings. i even know a video with a flying stingray

Since you have seen this thing atleast 3 times now- why dont you go to the store and buy a butterfly net and try to capture this thing and photograph it or video tape it. It may be a new creature!

Interesting. I would love to see a flying sting ray or a dragon.

I've waited outside with my video camera for hours with no luck. I think because I have only spotted them during the summer when it's humid and probably at least 80 degrees at night or 90-100 degrees during the day. So therefore I have to take breaks and go inside for some nice air conditioning.

The video is very grainy could be an owl, bird, or low flying plane close to a swimming ray.

By the way you did describe somewhat what I saw. The smoke ring part is sort of how I would have described my first encounter. It looked sort of like a smoke ring from being underneath it, not full ring but like a snake chasing it's tail.

Maybe.

I don't know what that would look like and do they take flight?

en.wikipedia.org...

They do fly (after a manner). And they look like a (usually) small spider jerking around willy-nilly in the wind.
