Islamic Extremists…Please Phone the German Government.

HATIF, or ‘phone’ in Arabic, is designed to ensure safety and confidentiality for extremists tired of the radical life wishing to ‘quit’. HATIF sets up a certain hotline for extremists to call - similar to that of a suicide hotline – which is secure or gives out certain phone numbers of Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz’s agents. The German government hopes to halt religious extremism before it gives way to terrorism predicated on Islam.

A very creative move, but heck don't they already know why the extremism exists in the first place>?

People use extreme measures when they or the people they love are place in extreme situations.

Look at America after 9/11 for example.

Ask any extremist, he/she will tell you about Isareli-Palestinian situation.

From Afghanistan, to Indonesia, to England, to all the way China.

That is my opinion in the matter, that they are forgetting about the source of the problem and trying trial & error to see that maybe, hopefully, one trial will work.

The activity of extreme Islamists has been high in the forms of various extreme Muslim organizations. Some organizations blatantly sanction violence in the name of Allah, eulogize Adolf Hitler for mass-murdering Jews, and are suspected to have links with Germany’s neo-Nazi parties like the NPD (National Democratic Party of Germany).

People do have second thoughts sometimes or find out about things they may not fundamentally agree with. Can't hurt to have a number like this available to them where they know their concerns will be taken seriously.

What do you think they will say?

It is anger which drives extremists, they need treatment, and the source of the problem needs to be addressed and solve in order to stop the extremist problem in the future.

Because if you treat current extremists, the next generation will continue, because the source problem is still there.

Anger blinds your judgement.
