V is for Vendetta.
The only verdict is vengeance, a vendetta, held as a votive not in vain.
i realise this wont make much a difference to most of the people comparing this to v for vendetta, but the laughing man in ghost in the shell was around for 2 years before v for vendetta even came to theaters. their approaches to revolutionary ideas are markedly different.
i highly recommend watching the stand alone complex series. also the movies. they are incredibly thought provoking. it's why the words in the laughing man symbol have been a part of my sig since the day i joined ats.

I have been looking for more information about the Laughing Man and I discovered these interesting tidbits:
"This is the Laughing Man speaking. I did not choose this moniker, but given the direction of human events, I find it wholly appropriate. Our society is an absurd monument to the irrational, and those of us sane enough to see it are laughing like madmen. I do not laugh because nothing remains great; I laugh because something greater is on the horizon. I laugh at the destruction of the unjust, and we are on the brink of a powerful Reawakening."
The pastebin link has a PGP key... any idea why that would be included? Could this Alex Ryan guy be the Laughing Man?
Alex Ryan Ⓥ I'm pretty sure the Laughing Man will reveal himself when he feels the time is right.
