Nope, in my books...opening a secure fb account is a 5-10 min process no real quantum mathematics required. In fact, i regularly do the process for various reasons, oh yes, by him doing what his doing, simply do not be surprised when the face is planted across the web.

I find this interesting because there seems to be a pop icon status associated with this The Laughing Man.

Back in the early 2000's a guy called The laughing Man using the same blue cap avatar made some mods for a game called Uplink: Hacker Elite which was a hacking simulation pc game.

I am on a PC tech forum with a guy called The Laughing Man using that same avatar. I wonder if he is the same guy.

Of course, many people could adopt the name and avatar, but I think this guy who made the Uplink game mods was probably the first because that was so long ago.

This is one of the few times where I've actually seen something like this take place, it seems we are now on the forefront of a new "internet revolution". This hacker has done what i believe many of us here at ATS would wish to do: tell/warn people of the impending doom that our (US)government has set upon us.

Sooooooo glad that someone beat me to this. I've been on and off as a member of www.hackthissite.org and all with the hopes of someday using some high tech hacking to bust up people's social network...well over the past years, probly do somethin similar. I haven't been able to find this video anywhere though. any one have another link? i keep getting 'an error has occured please try again later'

You think this silly manifesto is important? You should have been with those of us who defied the NSA and the Clinton administration when they tried to deny us citizens strong encryption methods in the late 90's just so they'd have an easier time of playing Big Brother and reading our emails.

I don't think that comparison is quite fair. Sure it's defacing one's property, except one you didn't pay for and can be solved with one click. While the other would take a few days of painting and real money. I'm not approving hacking people's pages, but to try and compare it to vandalizing someone's house...

i think i know who laughing man is but the thing is i can't put his name up just in case law enforcement is keeping an eye on ATS. But it was the shirt and tie that got me thinking it's who i think it is. Laughing man also, i think, has other videos on you tube under a more familiar name which again i cannot say due to the possibility of big brother watching. And if it is whom i assume it to be then my hat is off to you sir. Your doing your country proud.

What annoying drivel. I found it difficult to make it through the whole vid. The message (if there is one) is lost in the presentation - the voice distortion, the face overlay, etc.

It's designed to be propaganda that rebukes propaganda - ignore their version of truth and listen to mine!

Might have a been more successful if the creator used a little more satire?
