They called me a child pornographer

what a horrible thing to have to go through...i have a friend who has a 14 year old step-daughter who wanted to go to a party...well he told her absolutly not...so she called child protective services and told them he had been raping her...he was found not guilty but they put him through a living hell and it almost ruined his marriage...the worst part is she admitted it and still didn't matter because they thought he had threatened her life and thats why she was changing her story...what a shame...

I'm sure it doesn't matter what country it is in...people take it very seriously when it comes to children and they have every right to...but there comes a point when the innocent have almost no chance to prove themselves....

The head of Ga. DFCS, in the Jackson Borz case, said "We are DFCS, we don't HAVE to do what the judge says"

....and they didn't....and there wasn't a darn thing anyone could do about it.

The younger baby was being taken off the ventilator, his mom and dad crying and crushed at his side, and a DFCS worker came in, took them away and told them they'd taken their older child.

They wouldn't even let the family grieve as their child was dying.

Is that the sort of compassionate government workers we want having the ultimate authority over our children?

OH, that made me so mad. That whole, whole thing made me SO mad.

Can't tell you how sorry I am you had to go through that. I don't know how I would have coped myself, I can only wish you all the best. I think I might have had more than a few words to say to the wee prick at the drug store tho.
It gives me the willy's to think, I have a old photo still in my wallet of my two nephews from years back playing in the bath that my brother gave me to remind me of them when I was travelling, what would have happened to me if that had been found!?!?

Wow. All I can say. what a ridiculous story. Sure there needs to be some protection of Children, cause unfortunately there are kids that get taken advantage of but there has to be some common sense used in these situations. My girlfriend took a picture of our baby without her diaper on while she was being changed the other day, guess i should call CPS on her eh?

When I was a little kid, my parents let me run around naked all the time.
There were pictures of me in a diaper, me running around the yard naked with a viking helmet on, me on the john...all sorts of stuff.

Just to clarify I went through the stress of the alcohol allegations.

The pornography allegations related to an American family who I do not know but having come across their story wanted to highlight their plight to ATS. I originally posted in breaking news but it was moved by a mod to gen con. Hence the title.

Guess I will play devils advocate here. If the goal is to protect your child then it's to protect them from others. I have no doubt the people in this story did no wrong but what if others were watching.

Where is the cutoff on taking pictures of your kids naked? One of these kids was 8. 8 years seems kind of old to be taking naked pictures. Again, where is the cutoff? 10? 12? 17? 26?

There has to be a cutoff point right?

First post for me so Hi. My family was reported by a crazy neighbor 5 years ago. He said I (mom) was neglecting my children because I let them play in a puddle during a summer rain shower. My youngest at the time was a baby and I took his diaper off because it was full of water. It was adorable the way they were playing and I was right in the middle of it we were having a blast. The next day a social worker showed up, I was ALMOST hysterical. By the time the interview was over the social worker was calming me down and HUGGED me.

My family and home were inspected right then SURPRISE. I was terrified that my children would be taken. I am a very involved parent and they had to contact my eldest's school. I was humiliated, confused, and scared No amount of talking or reasoning was enough to calm me. All I could think was what if he keeps calling, how many times until they aren't so nice?

But, we were OK. Nothing happened except a few scary months, a loss of privacy even though the case worker only showed up 2 times. Once to tell us we were reported and once to tell us it was over, in 6 months it was totally expunged from the records.


Having said all that I would gladly go through it all again if doing so would save a child in a bad situation.

Why would you take a picture of your kids naked? Especially at 8.

I am not calling this guy a child pornographer because even my mom has a picture of my sister in the tub and it is not about that at all. I just would never do that because it just doesn't seem right to me.

I suspect the drug store employee is a terrorist. Therefore you're within your right to report them to the authorities. keep in mind most people convicted of crimes ususally have there neighbours say they had no idea so if the employyee seems clean cut, they are definately hiding something

This is so disgusting, it makes me angry just reading it. Basically, the state exposed these children to things they shouldn't even know about and the parents were absolutely helpless. Do they not realize the danger and harm that they are putting these kids through by the mere suggestion that their parents might want to have sex with them.

IMO, the state has basically done the same kind of damage that some creepy child molester would do, and there is absolutely nothing that the parents could do. If the states wants to harm your children, you have absolutely no recourse and and they will just laugh at any objection, as they harm your children even more.

The state is our enemy. If this hasn't been made clear enough already, then I don't know what it will take. This same kind of story is playing out with thousands of families all across this country and it can easily happen to you, if it hasn't yet.

When and if TSHTF, these are the first people that need to be held accountable for their crimes against humanity. Their crimes are the worst, IMO.

I wonder if the men were naked? Seems like everyone was running around naked. Doesn't make sense to me. I bet if either mom was there those pictures would not have been taken.

Matter of fact, running around naked in the woods is probably dangerous for kids. Especially taking a leak near a campfire.
