pardon me.
Freespeaker you are correct
my mistake
Sorry
I had asked the question of Frakkerface
I hope you will accept my apology.

I'll ask the question now.
What would YOU do if you knew your doctor was a pedophile or that he/she was online with images of children taken through his /her practice.

Again
I apologize for the mix up.

No problem Bones, no apology necessary but accepted anyways.

What would I do? I think my probable reaction is best left unsaid.

As I said already, as much as I don't like it, children must be subjected to the same searches otherwise some nut will take advantage of the whole in security and people will die.

So let me ask you a question now. Would you prefer your child scanned or pat down physically by a stranger?

Freespeaker thank you.

yes that is the tricky point sealing the security holes...
and I don't have an answer..

Except to point out that if the government or its agents and emplyees is caught putting bombers on the plane to justify the use of these machines, and then is caught lying about the potential for abuse, and then is caught abusing the situation like Chertoff making money from the sale of these machines, ...

here is an example of why i am personally concerned:
I have friends and neighbors who were heavily abused by the church and after being let down by the community in the first place they are stigmatized by the same community now
no justice

At least some one cared to step up here:

FORT PIERCE — Tenacious police work by a St. Lucie County undercover officer resulted in the arrest of a 48-year-old Homeland Security Agency employee from Massachusetts who is charged with several counts of child pornography.

Richard D. McLaughlin of Everett, Mass., was arrested at his home earlier last month. He is housed in an administrative segregation unit at the St. Lucie County jail in lieu of $340,000 bail.

McLaughlin, who works for the Transportation Security Agency at Logan Airport in Boston, was first spotted by the detective using an AOL account in January.

I dont see where the state dept. admitted to planting the bomber, or admitted to helping him through the process. If you could point out where that is, I would be appreciative.

Who can we really trust these days? I know for a fact if we searched we can find a doctor, police officer, CFS agent, priest, etc, who has been arrested for this disgusting crime. So knowing that poeple in any position, no matter how sensitive, can be commitng these crimes... whom does that leave us to trust?

We can distrust everyone all we like but the world must still turn and people must leave their safe homes to make a living.

You sidestepped my question though.

If I had children I would first choose NOT to fly.
If there was no choice regarding flying...
If I had a child of reasoning age I would consult the child.
If I had no option I would have to choose pat down because of the potential for causing cancer that these machine apparently have

I don't normally fly through international airports nor do I plan to..
this issue is just one more reason not to.

I would choose a pat down for my children for 1 reasons:

The pat down will be happening right in front of me, where I can better judge the TSA officials intent and/or reactions. I would much rather prefer that to some stranger staring at my daughter naked behind a door, or sending copies of the pics to his/her buddies.

Just my $.02.

yes, it does constitute child porn. And that's why I will love to see the fail-case it will generate in court.

they had the option to revoke his visa
they didn't
that is one stage of "putting him through"
he was put through at every stage....

He was also put on the plane WITHOUT a passport.
in front of a plane load full of witnesses

the testifier works for a subdivision of the department of state.
and his testimony is posted on the departent of state's web page.

Nope.. They said that it was overridden by who ever helped him.. But the state Dept DID NOT admit to aiding the detroit would be bomber...

If I am wrong... Please quote a state dept. official saying that they took part in him getting through multiple levels of security.

The state departement's not revealing the "agency" that instructed them not to revoke his visa when they were warned he was coming through is at the very least tacit aid to the bomber and his appartus.

But we drift :
this thread was about kiddy porn being created by backscatter x ray machines
and subsiquently
the reasons the situation exists.

I'm all for scanning children, if the terrorists can teach monkeys to kill us freedom lovin types they can train ANYONE. We should probably just scan everyone and everything regardless of how it effects travel, restricts our freedoms or makes us subservient to an overarching corporate backed amorphous blob of a government organization.

Being given champagne and steak-knifes one day after 911 I asked the flight-attendant if she thought that my tent stake would inflict less damage than a broken bottle and the knife I was holding......

*The stake was confiscated at the security check....

Seems to me that most of these "security" regulations are bringing cash into the Airports' bucket and other shady companies.

Considering that an airplane is fairly easy to bring down with loads of things already on board it's quite sad to see what they can sell to the general public in the name of safety.

Seems to me that the TSA and Airlines are out of control. Perhaps a month or two boycott on flying would bring the airlines to their knees. Too many fees. I decided if I couldn't get there driving I wouldn't go when the fees and security went over the top.

Hi, guys. I am new here but I see you have pretty hot discussions here.
I am against screening children too cause it might ruin their mental health.
But as for adults you cannot avoid it.

And you can protect your intimate body parts with the help of Flying Pasties.
