I think I'd have to mix up a bat and a cat. I don't know...I cat the size of a kitten (but due to the merge with the bat, it would be still fully grown) and bat wings and some crazy facial features of the bat...

Well, actually...This would probably look awful and be useless. But, it's still kind of cool to think about. Honestly though, I'm not too awfully sure what I'd combine. Maybe a Grizzly bear and an elephant? Wow, I really don't know...Good question.

Actually...With some thought...i doubt this is possible in any way but what about a shark and a whale? Whales breathe air...SO, that might be the brick wall blocking the exit here, but it might be interesting...make an enormous great white kind of thing. I forget the name of the biggest whale...but whichever that whale might be...splice that with a great white.

My choice would probably be one of these:

a 'Cog' cat/dog hybrid that took both the stealth and agility of the cat, and the strength and loyalty of the dog. Two carnivourous animals would be alot easier to splice than say a cat/rabbit, or the infamous 'cabbit' which is sometimes mistaken for a cryptid, there are no such things, even with the best cloning tech in the world, these two animals could never be spliced with any kind of success.

A rat/mouse or 'rouse' hybrid, which basicaly made a slightly larger, more adaptable mouse.

A seal/beaver or 'beal' would be fun too.

Following on from your logic of splicing a great white with the largest whale that makes a

'Great White Blue Whale Shark' doesn't it ?

I know that would stop those silly tourist's jumping off boats and trying to touch a whale shark....

I would combine myself with a flea. That way I could jump 500 yards, and be un-killable.

Second line, because I don't see anything wrong with screwing with mother nature.

Oh man I got so many idea for this.
There is two that really would scare the crap out of me.

First- Bear/Rhino, A Bino?
Imagine that one, how beastly of an animal would that be.

Second- A Lion(Tiger,Cheetah, any big cat) and a Great White.
A very fast, smart and agile land shark...yikes
Maybe add a little bit of eagle in there and give it wings, why not.

Here's a funny one, a sponge and a human.
hehe.

i'm still giving this thread some thought.

edit because a link to a pic didn't work

it was a pic of a sarah palin / president obama morphed into one.

humorous. how about...

platapus and a giraffe?
animal & Crazy Harry from the muppet show?
tyranasaurus rex and a wolverine?
dodo bird and a cuddlefish?

on a serious note, splicing was a tool we used to turn the wolves against eachother, though it took thousands of years.

Old Hemp was the dog accredited with starting the Border Collie breed of dog, many believe to be the smartest breed of dog:
en.wikipedia.org...

interesting topic, great idea for a thread.

Wolverines are wicked animals by themselves I dont think I'd want to add anything more to them that would just be scary I mean cmon the lil 10lb(guesstimate) animal can pull a 800-1200lb(again guestimate) moose from like 10 feet under the snow? that last tidbit i actually saw on a documentary about wolverines, the guy tried to catch one and the trap was sprung and there was like a 5inch hole dug through the side of the box that was made out of 1-2 inch thick wood. And had no wolverine in it by the way. But he did finally catch one and it wante to rip his face off.

edit: ok i just read that they are 30-40lbs and mooses i was close the weight range is 850-1580lbs and there have been reports of a wolverine attempting to fight a black bear for a kill where it lost but also one of a wolverine fighting a polar bear in which the wolverine killed the polar bear. so yea... chew on that info they are scary lil buggers.
