I find it highly ironic that christians are now openly calling for "religious freedom"
That is all.

How can you say that it isn't true that we didn't practice scalping or heading prior to the Spanish? There isn't a shred of evidence that Apaches scalped anyone before the Spanish came

Nobody kept a written history of the "Americas" prior to the Spanish arrival on the continent. Obviously there was no "history" of indians practicing scalping because there was no one to write down that history.

Where does this charge of the Spaniards teaching the Indians scalping come from? Can you prove this, do you have a link?

This is the first I've ever heard of this. With all of the bad press the Spanish got from the black legends of the Inquisition, you would think something like that would be common knowledge if it were true.

BTW, when did this thread turn into a discussion about Indians?

This place makes my head spin sometimes.

How can you proove anything about the apache? The "apache" had no written language and the very term apache was not made up by the people themselves but it was recorded by the spanish and came from a zuni word that was plural for Navajo. Modern day historians still cannot agree on who was apache and who was not.
Even the massacres were carried out by native americans. The camp grant massacre was carried out by six white people and 100 papagos (native americans). Scalping dates back before christ and the Crow Creek Massacre prooves that
1. Indians did practice scapling before the christians came
2. The native americans had fought before that
