Would you agree that it is equally innocent when mankind predates other species or more to the point his own species? I somehow cannot assign guilt to the actions of man when humankind are clearly at the pinnacle of this planetary food chain.

As far as I know, the animals in the OP only do whatever evil is necessary to ensure the survival of themselves and their progeny. In my opinion, this is innocent behavior.

You can't say the same about mankind. Nearly every person has done, and will again do, some unnecessary immoral acts.
