Stop whining, this country is a capitalist paradise. Regulation is practically non-existent compared to other first-world nations.

You failed, plain and simple, the economy sucks, plain and simple. What did you think the f*cking carnival ride of excess and capitalist frivolity would continue forever?? You seem to enjoy calling the poor, sick, unemployed, and underclass parasites and moochers. Why don't you point your venom where it actually belongs AT THE BUSINESSES/BANKS WHO TANKED THE ECONOMY BY CHASING PROFIT WITHOUT REGULATING THEMSELVES SENSIBLY. A tiny fraction of our taxes goes to actual welfare, and I highly doubt such social programs are what brought you down. Jesus... and to think you're probably the kind of person who spouts off to the poor about personal responsibility, WHY DON'T YOU TAKE SOME AND HOLD THE REAL PERPETRATORS ACCOUNTABLE.

If it weren't for social safety nets, people would be a lot worse off, they wouldn't be magically freed up to become businessmen, shopkeeps, entrepreneurs, and industrialists. The plain fact is that our society breeds an underclass, and AT LEAST Socialism is able to address that and ease the burden when implemented properly and without oppressive measures.

I'm sorry to hear you're hitting hard times, and I hope it's for the best. But quit lashing out at the ass-end of the issue. If you can demonstrate that "parasites" and "moochers" on welfare caused your downfall then so be it... but until you do then I give no weight to your blaming finger.

IMO it's true that the taxes will soon be crippling everyone even more than they are now - through those we know are already planned, and even more so by those that we aren't yet aware of.

It was most likely only a matter of time before you were forced to close your business because of said taxation. I also understand how people need to do their best to look after their families.

I feel so sorry, too, for the families who now have no income and who are cast at the mercy of this merciless, brutal band of thugs.

These conditions are being forced upon people by the criminals who now steal and pillage from everyone, in a way which has become so brazent that it suggests to me they believe no-one can do anything to stop them now.

IMO they have declared war on the people. We have to fight them, and the total collapse of the system may be necessary for this these heinous crimes to end. If so, bring it on.

However, in order to be successful in fighting them, I believe it's essential that we discard the Matrix they have imposed on us, and undergo a paradigmatic shift.

The thing is, you seem to believe you have got yourself into a safe situation....but your money can disappear overnight from your bank account, and if they have their way that is what will happen soon.

This suggests to me you are only partially aware of what is really going on.

To survive this, to reverse this, we HAVE to change our mindsets from the one of me first, me second, me last, from the us/them dichotomy.

Your money can disappear in the blink of an eye, and most probably will very soon, pension schemes, government grants will go with them. Your ranch is not your property, it belongs to the Fed Gov and can be taken from you on a whim at any time.

The legal system will not protect you, it too us corrupt to the core.

That would leave you in a similar or worse situation than your ex-employees are now - without the means to sustain themselves.

That is why we have to realise our survival depends on us stepping out of their way of thinking and doing things, and realise that we all have to help each other if we are ever going to get out of this mess alive.

You have 200 acres of land, and I urge you to make a shift in your thinking, and realise that our survival depends on us all pulling together, all looking out for each other.

Is there no way you could use some of that land to allow those people or some of them to grow some food to help themselves?

Some kind of co-operative endeavour, not based on the exchange of money, which could help you all - for as long as you do have use of that land, which may not be for too long?

Imagine the feelings of hope and courage and strength you could impart to these people by helping them too to have the means to help themselves.

Believe me, the money god is in its death throws. The only way we are going to survive is by recognising that we are all one, and we have to help each other.

Otherwise, one day it is very possible that you will find yourself stripped of all your material goods, of all of your money, pensions, etc - and at that time, in the immediate vicinity of where you live, you will have very few friends to help you, and you will reap what you have sown.

I believe we are faced with the imperative, like never before, of realising that we can only beat these monsters by sticking together and looking out for eaach other. They KNOW this and will do everything they can to divide and thus control all of humanity.

Strike a blow for freedom, step out of their Matrix, listen to your heart not your head and do some creative thinking about surviving this together.

In a small town or big city, I would think there would be some sort of news article in reference to a 30 year old business laying off 187 people and closing its doors. Do you have a link? If not your fictitious tale was rather entertaining.

Those were my thoughts as well. Tied up too neatly with a bow on top.

Second line.

Wow, congrats..very stirring and emotional! And bitter.

Bet in all those years you never reaped any benefits along the way...never made nice profits, never participated in investments or took tax breaks and exemptions, never took advantage of the cheaper healthcare for your family because you got to ride along with your numbers of employees, never paid NO taxes on supplies and on your own PERSONAL items due to your business license, never got cheaper prices on things like furniture and car leases or freebies and perqs and benefits from suppliers and vendors.

Bet you so struggled and still managed to paid off your house and your land and saved a nice nest egg too. My nose bleeds for you. Poor thing.

Yeah, congrats. Now you're a moocher and parasite of this nation. You've inspired me. I think I'll stop working too now to stop supporting you.

Know your enemy: It is a government that is sleeping with the banksters and big business.

It's not "socialism" We are a corporate dictatorship. Read my location.

We need to reform our banking system folks pure and simple.

Go to 5:24 and listen carefully, very carefully. This video shows a doable solution on how to take back our country.

Words are powerful.

The Federal Reserve Bank is not Federal and is not run by the people and for the people. The Federal Reserve Bank is a private corporation and uses other people's money for it's own profit.

"Most American's have no real understanding of the operation of the international moneylenders........The accounts of the Federal Reserve System have never been audited.
.

It operates outside the control of Congress and...manipulates the credit of the United States" - Barry Goldwater

Even though it is not a part of the government, the Federal Reserves is more powerful than the Government.

The Federal Reserve determines, What your car payment will be, how much your house will cost and if you will have a job or not.

The Federal Reserve is the single largest creditor in the US.

"I sincerely believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs." - Thomas Jefferson 11:28 in video

If we the people, do not unit and rebell against this system - if we all just continue to remain service to self, we are all going to hang together.

Yes we need central banks, no we do not need these central banks in private hands.

Instead of passively accusing Phedrus of lying as you are currently doing, perhaps you should just come out and call him a liar.

Or are you too scared to risk the consequences of making such a clear statement?

Is that why you resort to sly implications? No courage? Or perhaps no confidence in your assessment?

I can understand where you're coming from.I have a small business. Just me.I've had employees in the past. Usually students who want to paint houses all summer. I wouldn't be able to sell my business because most my customers are one time only. I have some people who I paint for every 2-3 years, but I couldn't bank on that, not with the economy the way it is. I've been buying gold and silver. I only keep enough money in the bank to pay bills. I'm kind of depressed, the feds are going to start requiring precious metals dealers to report all bullion purchases to the irs by Jan 1 2012. I have to step up my buying schedule,I've decided to put some plans on hold. Damn!

Bravo!

What a way to start my morning! I adore you.

We, too, own a business, which has done very well for the past 12 years---up until now, that is.

Now, with the current recession, we stare at the ceilings most nights wondering how we are going to pay our mortgage in six months. So much of our income is handed over to the government, we can barely afford to send our children to college, much less worry about retirement. We've laid off four employees in the past three months, and they, too, are collecting unemployment. We used to feel proud that we were helping to support a half dozen families through our hard work and efforts, but sadly, this is no longer true.

That ANY ONE replying to this post could criticize you for doing what you have to do is extremely irritating. For many years, you kept 187 families fed and clothed. You are to be applauded.

I wish we could retire, because I only see hard times ahead for us. Be glad you got out when you did. You've worked hard, so enjoy the rest of your life.

Ah, but pray for the rest of us evil business owners. Obama is eating us up and spitting us out. Innovation, guts, knowledge and a free economy is what built this country. Socialism will take it down. When you stop encouraging people to start small businesses, you are essentially dismantling a once thriving country.

Applauding you this morning. You see? There are actually wise, logical people on this board who understand you.

Count me in.

Phedreus, You did great.
The system in which we live is stacked massively against us.
From the middle classes down,we all become servants to the system.
You start work, you work a week ,fortnight or a month before you get paid.
you pay all taxes and other deductions before you get your money, and everything you buy again you pay extra taxes.
To buy anything apart from your food and living, then you have to take on credit, so becoming even more enslaved to work more and pay more, possibly for the rest of your life. Then when you die all you have worked and struggled to get and paid taxes for, your family have to pay more taxes to keep what has been paid for.
We are ignorant because we don,t know,
Vagrants (tramps ) are shunned because they don,t allow to system to exploit them and make them more richer, maybe someone made a law against vagrancy.
Look at this site how politics has given so many different opinions.
To build even a small business takes a lot of effort, when things go wrong there is little support, from the same organisations who take the excessive cash when trying to make your business grow.
There are 100,s of taxes 100,s of laws to make you pay more taxes (called fines) he he rubbing hands together ,what other new laws and taxes can we invent.
Enjoy your retirement.

Thank you for posting this link. It confirms and illustrates well the truth of what is going on.

The financial crisis was engineered, following their tried and tested strategy, which sadly millions still fall for:

1. Create a problem
2. Fuel widespread panic about the problem.
3. Then offer a solution, which will be readily accepted because the people are blind, and even more so when they are in the grips of the panic we created.

So, in this way, the engineered financial crisis, engineered by the Banksters and the Federal Reserve, was a great basis for triggering a global panic of huge proportions.

The same band of gangsters then implemented the next step in their plan. Use the situation to divert billions of dollars from the public purse to the Banksters, the Corporations and the Fed Res.

A huge fraud which gives a veneer of 'respectability' to the fact that they have just stolen over 70 billion from American people, and put it into the accounts of those who want them to be slaves.

This transfer of wealth from the nation, the people, to the facist, nazi criminals is taking place at an alarming rate. This is also what all these taxes are about.

Under common law, taxation is not allowed. Read up on common law.

This is why it is imperative that all people unite in their minds and hearts and look out for each other. This is our strength, this is what they fear.

The money is going from the PUBLIC purse into the PRIVATE sector.

Get real - government is simply a group of people who pretend there is some kind of system which protects the people.

This, of course, is a lie.

The private Corporations now run the country and are now sequestering every last dime from the nation, pretty much all the country's wealth has now been creamed off into these private corporate accounts, over which the people have NO legal power.

I know it wasn´t a easy call and I know what is like to feel that you´re living a lie and you´re the government and bank's slave. Cheer up, we should start an ATS exchange program, it would be nice. we can visit your farm, than you could come to Brazil and spend a time at the beach, then we would visit another ats member in australia that gave up on the capitalist way and now owns a small ranch. It bet it would be so fun if we all got together in orded to "build something real" instead of just posting messages and comments about the capitalistical way of ruling the world. By the way, you could start a small resource based comunity if you have enough room. Let´s live the venus project

The net (ATS)youtube has educated you to be aware of what is possibly coming.
None of the systems seem to work properly, whether its capitalism, socialism, communism, so look after yourself and yours, and if you can help others great.

I'm really sorry to hear you are closing down your business. I hope you enjoy your retirement.

I do however dissagree with your view on socialism. It's about making a fairer society to help those people who for what ever reason have no wealth. I don't like lay abouts and scroungers on the state, they shold be made to work for their benefit or hand out. But socialism has its place, along with capitalism.

Do you not think capitalism is to blame for the way debts have run up and crippled economies?

I think that all key services should have a nationalised company in competition with private run businesses, owned by the tax payers, in order to keep the people in some control over the capitalists.
