Crimes you can commit in a Burka

This is an interesting one and I am surprised TPTB have not pushed harder to ban Burka's; I mean what is the point of having 4.2 million CCTV cameras (SOURCE) in Britain if all you need to do is wear a Burka?

If I was TPTB I would use the same tactics that has been so successful around the world and actually put some of our own special forces troops that pretend to be terrorist and have them commit crimes while wearing a Burka.

Just think, as long as you got away without being taken into custady they could only prove it was you with a DNA test. Imagine the line, 8 people all wearing Burka's INSANE!

Crimes to commit wearing a Burka:

Bank robbery
Shop lifting
Buying drugs
Soliciting a hooker
Getting into an 18 movie when you are under age

you could even set up a business taking driving test and exams for people. They would never know who was actually taking it

If you rap a scarf around your eyes you can't see though, and I am not aware of any religion that requires it's women to be covered head to toe with them!

I say lets ban clothes! People would be a lot less violent if they had to go around with their hands covering their shy parts

Edit: this whole Burka thing is a serious problem, not because of what can be done while wearing a Burka but because of the pressure behind possible prohibitions.

It is a very complicated question:

If it is unacceptable to outlaw a Burka because that would be prejudice towards Muslims, does than mean the sensibilities of Muslims are more important then the feelings of Christian women who have fought and struggled to gain the most basic of human rights such as voting, working the same jobs as men, equal rights to get slaughtered in battle etc, not to mention wear what ever clothes THEY want!

Christians killed some 2 million of God's hand made buffallo while in trains.
Should we make it illegal for Christians to be in trains?

You might as well have written a thread called “Crimes that can be committed wearing a balaclava”. If the Burka is being used for any of these crimes then it is the criminals that are to blame not the existence of the Burka. If you ban it, they will just find another way to hid their face.

This has to be one of the most stupid and blatantly hate provoking OP’s i have found on ATS this week (and that is a massive achievement btw)

If you get caught wearing a Burka and aren't Muslim you might get a severe beat down, and I would imagine a large portion of the Muslim community would want you dead.

So you'd have to be pretty sure noone found out it was you. Think about it logically how word could get around, if you get caught your name would be in every paper across the country, and you'd be in trouble in jail too.

My advice if you must commit crimes, wear a ninja costume instead. Although if you get caught the ninja community would be out for your blood.

That's the problem, what if they want to use a Burka?

Where's the freedom when you say "you can use all the clothes you want, except if it's a Burka"?
