Boadicea - or however you spell her name - was a fearsome fighting woman.

Women are fighters and strong - for their children mainly.

Women are stronger than men for a lot of reasons.

Who can endure many sleepless nights with a sick baby? And still carry on next day?

Who can endure men moaning and complaining when they only have a cold?

Who can go through the agony of childbirth?

Who keeps the family together?

Apparently they cause global meltdowns as well!

Women are not better than men, and men are not better than women.

Equality all around, that is what I see.

I didn't say better, I said stronger.

Men have their role - killing/earning/siring/mowing the lawn/maintaining things.

Women have their role - birthing/nurturing/gossiping/caring.

Alright, women are not stronger than men.

There is no proof to this statement.

Correlation does not equal causation.

I stay up for days on end, I took care of my siblings when they were babies. And I protect(ed) my sister from unjust attack.

Does that make me a woman?

No, it makes me a human.

And, as I said earlier. I see equality all around.

(Why the need to be "er" than another? (BettER, GreatER, StrongER.))

I don't know.

I think all of these generalizations are overlooking the facts.

And the fact is, every human being is different in some way or another.

For you to sit here and assign roles to virtually the entire human race, and arbitrarily split them into two generalized groups; is ridiculous.

It has little basis in reality. And it's the very definition of the word Prejudice.

I know one that can't, my ex. Many of times I would come home from my second job (mind you I was the one supporting us financially) only to come home to my girlfriend and child who was still up, yelling for me to take over. Often I would go 24 hours without sleeping.

Yeah, I bet Margaret Thatcher or Angela Merkel would make great cage fighters.

The late Bruce Lee would not stand a chance,

I am sorry I offended you.

My thread title should have said "in some things".

And I am not trying to divide men and women. Both have strengths.

But I still believe that women have more fortitude.

Men and Women are two different creatures, with similar and different qualities.

It's good to see people catching up to that fact.

wanna armwrestle?
Your jobdescription of women is in fact VERY outdated... Women these days have taken every role you ascribe to men and more. while men have also taken over alot of the roles you ascribed to women... My wife has a very hard time when the baby keeps her up... so I took it upon myself to take care of the baby at night and then wake up at 6 to go to work...

This subject is very vontroversial as there are tons of factors in play wich can change the tide...

Determination maybe.........
But guys can get pretty highly motivated over some things as well.

In EVERY Olympic sport that requires strength, or stamina, men dominate, and always will dominate.

Until ofcurse we become bionic.

That is when the only difference will be emotional or psychological.

You better hope that bionic suit is bullet proof.

It is illegal to kill humans, but not post-humans!

Ohhh the sting.

Sorry that cracked me up.

Strength and stamina in sport - I agree, of course men win.

Now, how about strength and stamina when that baby is waking you every 3 hours? Men just can't hack it.

The fact remains that women have drawn the short straw in this world.

And women are the only ones who keep the family together.

So, I repeat, women put up with more than men do.

Again I say:

I highly doubt I am the exception to the rule.

EDIT (To Add)
What about single fathers? Or are they women in disguise?

I'm just gonna say that you don't really have a choice to go through the agony of childbirth and secondly the who keeps the family together thing is just BS. I'm not going to get into a rant so I'll stop at that. My girlfriend and I have an equal balance of taking care of each other
and it'll stay that way. Also I don't moan when I have a cold

Hahaha gotta give it to ya you've got guts. And if you're half the woman you portray here I want to give you credit.. most women I know are selfish and lazy with a complete disregard for their hubby's... Good earnest hardworking women is a rarity these days... just like "us men" the majority has some serious designerflaws...
