Hi!

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some images taken by the Queensland Brain Institue of deep sea creatures photographed at depths over 1,000 metres.

Have inlduded a link to The Sydney Morning Herald;

www.smh.com.au...

Peace!

Nice find!
I like the 5th and 6th ones. The 5th one looks like what a ufo could look like.

Are those eyes and mandibles on pic # 6, looks insect like.

Peace

Hi speculative optimist,

The 6th one is also my favourite - The eyes of a deep-sea amphipod crustacean - another paper commented that it almost looks like a monk in a hood....

Think it's wonderful we're still discovering new forms of life.

Peace!

I took one look at #6 and thought "Panda-bear Fish"

The amphipod crustacean reminded me of Kenny from South Park.
Interesting find The Wave, much enjoyed.

I like the 12th one, the Jelly Fish.

I had no idea they could be red

Thanks for sharing.

If "god" created everything, then he must have been on acid when he created these things.

Several look like something out of a nightmare; whilst others are pure fancy. Judging by the size and design of some of those teeth, its not exactly a fun place to live down there. whew! Makes u glad to be human for once.
