I stumbled on this today. His song brought sweat to my eyes.
Give it a listen.
My heart goes out to these people. That were free to catch their dinner after work.

Lyrics

I grew up on the southern shores
in Louisiana now it aint no more.
Kicking mud off of a crawfish hole
barefooted with a fishing pole
Make a living with my own two hands
Hell its part of being who I am
Went to working in the oil field
Thats the only way to pay our bills
And if I'm lucky I can have a son
I'll take him hunting like his daddy done
get him working on a shrimping boat
Up and down the Gulf of Mexico
Living dead on a deep sea rig
doing what is they had to live
all bleeding from a gaping hole
Up and down the Gulf of Mexico
Morgan city down till Mobile Bay
Past Laguna to FLA
Still I'm stuck out here for seven more
Watching everything turn black on shore
Brother even if they cap the well
Hell its just another oil spill
A way of life won't be around no more
All I wanted was to go back home
..Wont be much longer...

Little brother he aint feeling well
What you spraying on that oil spill?

cont

How many of us are gonna loose our life
Before the people get to work on time.

Kicking mud off a crawfish hole
barefooted with a fishing pole

Come back to the oil field
thats the only way to pay our bills
Thank Y'all

Hey, he's a good musician, I'd like to see him maybe put out a record, which would help his finances. The only thing that makes me question him, is how he kept saying, "I know ya'll care or you wouldn't be here". I have no doubt in my mind that most elites could care less about the GoM. In fact, if they paved over it or made it into an asphalt sea, it would just help the North American Union. They don't care for if they did, they would be doing something worth while.

I have no doubt that you are right!
The transition from a hypothesis to a reality is the chord that stirs my soul.
