The Ufo video is provided by 351NOVA who purchased a suitcase at an estate sale of a Marine captain. Inside the suitcase were photographs, memorabilia and seven reels 8mm film, each about twenty seconds long. Nova looked at the individual frames and decided to locate a projector. Nova changed them into a video format and posted them separately. I immediately contacted Nova and got the above background and permission to collate and release the video. Please pay attention to the shadowy shifting shapes inside the saucer and behind the mechanic.

About the alleged Nellis footage.
A google search brings up a zillion references to the "real Nellis UFO footage", but I'm not seeing ant indication of the history of it.
How do we know it's from Nellis? Is there anything there to identify as Nellis?
Where did it come from? Was it allegedly leaked? Who would be in a position to "leak" it? Was it taping empty air and just happened to catch a UFO?
Has the Air Force ever commented on it?
It would seem that leaking any images at all from a USAF test facility, UFO or not, would be comsidered a pretty serious security breach. So who did it? What's the backstory?
Not a debunking, but there are certainly a lot of unanswered questions in my book!

Nellis air force base is a training base, certainly not secret.. Plus any footage that is released by the USA government has no copyright attached to it, ergo there is zilch they can do about it, once it has reached the public arena apart from have it removed for security reasons. To have done this, would have been to almost openly admit it was theirs and it was not something they had an explanation for.

The tape is corroborated by personnel on the base and i believe, a few documents obtained under the FOIA.

RE: Nellis footage...

whenever I have a ton of questions similar to what you just asked, I use the SEARCh bar for the prior threads. All your questions can be answered if you look it up. Just saying this so not to distract from this thread and go off on a tangent that has been thoroughly discussed in numerous threads already...

Why thank you for your irrelevant and pointless post!

lets take a look at it shall we?

All one can show in these videos is that they are unexplainable.

Um yea, that's pretty much the point of this thread, to post UFO vids that HAVE NOT been explained. Glad you understood me correctly.

While any video showing unexplained aerial phenomenon or craft is extremely interesting and worthy of further investigation, it does not automatically equate to proof of aliens.

Seriously dude? Does my OP mention ANYTHING about aliens? Thanks for that insight, even though this thread isn't here to discuss who is piloting the UFO's.

lol were you replying to another thread and got lost along the way?

Either way, please read the OP before making your replies, if anything it will at least be relevant.

Thanks!

Believe it or not, that's the only part of me that's hairy. If the hair appears to get longer, you may be staring at my avatar for too long.

Good day debris. The first few seconds of your video are interesting...followed by 3:39 minutes of footage of you staring into your computer screen incoherently. I mean, seriously...why? You do this again and again. Thank you for contributing, but your shenanigans are getting tiresome.

When the video was passed to a TV show in 95, it was claimed to be shot in Nellis AFB. The peaks in the background were supposedly identified as being Black Mountain (radar outposts on the peaks) which is within sight of Nellis AFB. It was allegedly leaked by a security contractor. As far as I know, there hasn't been an official response to the video since its release.

I agree that there are a lot of questions about this footage. To my mind, it's compelling due to it's singular nature. There isn't a UFO video that looks anything like this one. The object, quality of film, soundtrack and motion of the object is unique.

The object mostly appears to be a 'top hat' shaped saucer, but also changes significantly at different stages of the video. The quality of film is as poor as we'd expect from a CCTV camera. At the same time, the focal range of the camera is way in advance of standard CCTV cameras. Naturally, YT compression has also diminished a lot of the detail. The soundtrack is convincing, but could be faked and overlaid. The motion of the object is unlike any artificial aircraft and often behaves more like an insect. It's movements appear unintelligent and almost random.

Quite a few years ago (the 90s), I read an article that suggested the film was hoaxed. It described how a box with a spotlight (the sun in the footage) could saturate the aperture and over expose the film to create the bleached, indistinct effect. The UFO was explained as a model attached to transparent plastic being moved by the hoaxer.

Who can say what's really in the footage? Some say it's a helicopter although I disagree entirely. Others have questioned if it's actually footage of a test craft. This makes more sense and would explain why the cameras are focused on it. The problem with that explanation is the lack of any modern craft that share any of the flight characteristics of the object. It still doesn't rule out the possibility of a test craft.

In my opinion, the footage remains intriguing and confusing. It's uniqueness leads to many more questions. In the absence of plausible explanations, rebuttals or similar footage from elsewhere...it continues to be a UFO with a capital U...Unidentified.

Hi handsome evil genius, I am new here as I was googling for related information to what I experienced last week and came across this site.

First of all I would like to say that the following doesn't mean I am a hard believer in aliens, UFOs and such, I am only wondering what is it that I have seen last Friday over London, UK, be it UFOs (after all, it only means "unidentified flying objects" that I could not identify myself), chinese lanterns or whatever. I am an open-minded person just trying to find an explanation to what I have seen as I couldn't find anything about it in the news.

So, here we go:

Me and my wife have witnessed what we are enclined to call a UFO sighting over London, UK, on Friday night (9 July 2010).

It happened approximately between 10.30pm and 11pm, there were loads of them (maybe about a hundred in total or more) coming from South West flying over London and disappearing to the North East for about 30mn in total.

They looked like orange lights flying fast and high, we thought it could be balloons or chinese lanterns but there wasn't a strong wind that night to explain their speed and directions: they seemed to go high first on the South West, some looking like dancing with each other, and then crossing straight over London to the North East at fast speed.

We caught it on camcorder and have posted the footage on youtube, in three parts (the video is not edited and is exactly as we have shot it, I am no special FX specialist whatsoever):

Part 1:

Part 2:

Part 3:

Please let me know if anyone else here have seen the same thing that we did on that night, maybe they are just lanterns but I haven't heard anything about it in the news and find it a bit strange that someone could have obtained some special permission to release so many of these over the city, when the air traffic was still quite busy with helicopters and airplanes descending to Heathrow or the City Airport at that time.

I suppose we will know more about this in the news soon, as I guess we are probably not the only ones to have witnessed that.

Cheers

Why don't you just remove the 3:39min of footage of you staring into space with no clothes on. The saucer stuff we can keep.

Thaaaaaaaaaanks,
