All 'isms' aside I think its in the best interest of humanity to discard any system that requires a monopoly of violence. The organising prinicipal
from the collapse forth should be *the non initiation of force.*
Im afraid this put socialism on the wrong side of good,(as it does corpratism, fascism, communism, democracy, ect...) as redistribution (unless
voluntary)does require violence, as the OP correctly pointed out. Lets not kid ourselves here - to tax wealth that has been accumulated justly
requires a central monopoly of violence that will always use said monopoly for its own ends and thus all States will always become corrupt.
Corruption always leads to collapse, and at this stage of the game, with weapons that can destroy the world, we cannot as a species survive another
collapse/world war cycle.
Are we so broken as a people that we cant imagine a world without guns pointed in our faces?
Reject all solutions that require coersion. Maybe one day we can achive peace.
