This story caught my eye....

news.bbc.co.uk...

Taranis is a concept design for a long-range strike plane.

Named after the Celtic god of thunder, Taranis is the first step in the development of unmanned strike aircraft, capable of penetrating enemy territory.

Unmanned aircraft carrying weapons are already used in service, such as the MQ-1 Predator which carries Hellfire missiles, although these are only suitable for use where the airspace is under allied control.

Excellent and British designed and engineered................

Coming to a battlefield soon..

Seen taranis in person ... Awesome peice of engineering.

I know people who work on the craft...

What one should be aware of is the fact that there is more going on at aerospace and this is mainstream technology.

Other exciting projects are worked on in the underground facilities at warton and Project greenglow is extremely exciting.
