Just wanted to post this very informative and alarming website set up by the ACLU called "Spy Files".

Here it is: ACLU - Spy Files

Today the government is spying on Americans in ways the founders of our country never could have imagined. The FBI, federal intelligence agencies, the military, state and local police, private companies, and even firemen and emergency medical technicians are gathering incredible amounts of personal information about ordinary Americans that can be used to construct vast dossiers that can be widely shared with a simple mouse-click through new institutions like Joint Terrorism Task Forces, fusion centers, and public-private partnerships. The fear of terrorism has led to a new era of overzealous police intelligence activity directed, as in the past, against political activists, racial and religious minorities, and immigrants.

This surveillance activity is not directed solely at suspected terrorists and criminals. It's directed at all of us. Increasingly, the government is engaged in suspicionless surveillance that vacuums up and tracks sensitive information about innocent people. Even more disturbingly, as the government's surveillance powers have grown more intrusive and more powerful, the restrictions on many of those powers have been weakened or eliminated. And this surveillance often takes place in secret, with little or no oversight by the courts, by legislatures, or by the public.

There are some very interesting topics about various U.S. Government agencies and cases that are documented about the violations on our Constitutional Rights:

  • Department of Defense
  • Department of Homeland Security
  • FBI
  • Fusion Centers (***This one is friggin' scary, and very recent)
  • Joint Terrorism Task Forces
  • Spying On First Amendement Activity
  • State & Local Law Enforcement
  • Suspicious Activity Reporting
These are documented facts, not just "conspiracy theories". Send friends/relatives to this site if they don't believe the US Government is doing this sort of stuff, because they are.

The Constitution is set up so that the accused always get good legal protections. When these protections are ignored, the ACLU steps in. They are not protecting criminals, they are protecting the Constitution, which is designed to stop people from being put in prison without cause and then having their rights taken away.

So you really should think about this article they've posted. It's very true. They are not spies, and you should be more worried about the FBI than the ACLU.

And if your Constitutional rights were violated by The Powers That Be they would be the ones who would come to your rescue. You're ignorance of what the ACLU does for us and how they protect US the PEOPLE from THEY the GOVERNMENT could actually cause you to reject their help, which would be one heck of a way for you to learn the hard way of what it truly means to have your rights taken away.
