Good for Los angeles.
However I can't help but wonder if the drop in 'crime' is tied to the cutback in police officers in the city?

Do more cops equal more crime? (I have theories but I will save them for later)

Some violent crimes may be down, but homicides and shootings are up.

Where did the article say it was because of more police presence?

Looks to me like rather than just be a victim of a violent crime, you end up dead instead, or shot.

To me this is no bragging right, for the city of Los Angeles.
