Video pop-up on homepage

Every time I come to the homepage of this site, a box pops up asking me to watch an ATS video. Does anyone know a way to turn that off, it blocks the main topics and comes up every single time. It is not an ad, but it is really annoying.

but they could just change the page design to allow that ... it would be better ...

I find it a little annoying myself but everyone has their opinion. I haven't seen a way to permanently disable that.

I know, I'm. Not sure why but lately it all seems a bit too commercial on this site. Too much glitz and glamour, I come here for the 'alternative' thinking and news now i feel its becoming more like a showbiz site. I know they have to evolve but it's getting too much in your face and 'ooo look at us'.

Saying that you can just close the box with the X

I know you can close it by pressing X .. my point is that I don't need to see it every single time I refresh the page. I chose to disable AdBlock Plus because you asked me to, but the pop-up is in the way of the topics I am trying to see.

I too find it annoying!! We know where to find the ats vids, we don't need it popping up in our faces every time we visit the page.

I found it quite nice to get the popup of the wild mustang news report,
also it is quite normal to get a popup anywhere you go on the internet today
im just glad it is not some ad trying to sell me something but finally some news
that might interest me.

Whenever I come across an intrusive popup, I make it a point to avoid using that product.

In this case - I wont bother with the movie, and if popups are going to be a standard part of ATS, I will visit less often.
